A proper traditional pub, menu with literally something for everyone, good prices and serve food all day! Delicious home cooked meals, welcoming staff excellent service and next to Cadbury Hill Fort so a great walk to break up the journey on the A303
Excellent country pub with real ale and proper chips. Highly recommended for friendly welcome and quality food. Nothing too much trouble for these people. Absolutely 5 stars.
Above and beyond.. Great family run pub restaurant. Very relaxing environment. One end you have the open plan area with a social atmosphere and at the other end you have dining with a peaceful surrounding and great for couples and families alike. Landlords are very welcoming and some good games to play.
Well run pub. Fascinating history of the pub and local area displayed. Great food, had a fish platter.
What a find! Probably one of the most friendly welcomes we’ve ever had in a pub. Lovely lunch, lots of classic dishes to choose from and great ale. Extremely close to the A303 so perfect for breaking up a long drive. The animals there were also extremely welcoming, the dog , cats and the tortoise! A lovely lunch, thank you very much.
A good menu for a weekday lunchtime in a country pub, and I had trouble choosing. Finally decided I'd try their fish & chips well, it's Friday! and wasn't disappointed. Really really good - close to perfect in fact. I had to eat it quick or the pub's ginger Tom would have finished it for me!
After a long drive the Camelot was a very warm and welcoming place to have lunch with our family. We had a delicious fish tapas board, yummy puddings and a great cider. This pub is warm, cosy and we will definitely return. The staff are very accommodating and we felt very welcomed.
This pub was in the perfect location for us to have a break on the drive down the A303, and is next to Cadbury Hill where there are amazing views at the top and a good place to let the dog run around. The food was really tasty and lots of good options on the menu, with very friendly service. We’ll be back next time we drive through!
Fantastic food, drinks and service. Stopped in on our way to Exmouth for a bite to eat and were blown away by the excellence we encountered. Sarah the owner/chef specially made a gluten free fish and chips for my celiac mum.10/10 we will stop in again on our way back.
Very friendly & welcoming staff. For a small village pub, we had the most excellent lunchtime meal. Will definitely visit again very soon
