Absolutely gem of a place! Staff were all so lovely, helpful and welcoming. Very dog friendly (they do special dog sausages which our Ella absolutely loved!). 

Food itself was great value and great quality...see pics!

All in all 100% would recommend!

Amazing mackerel pate. Seriously. It's really good. It's got that great combination of chunky-salty-smoky-creamy that we all want. If they were to have a slightly better salad and bread with the pate it would be outstanding. They do a solid line of cakes and tea and there's plenty of seating outside and enough inside for a cold day. One of our favourite places to visit when sailing.

Biked to Shotley from East Bergholt, then ferry to Harwich Pier - could not resist fish pie and a bottle of rose at the Cafe on the Pier. It was superb. Very friendly staff, highly recommend.
