We are open everyday for teas, coffees, cold drinks, beers and wines, we serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. All welcome bookings welcome

Story

We are going to serve good home cooked food to eat in or takeawy, open for breakfast thru till late afternoon serving teas, coffees, homemade cakes and desserts, jacket potatoes with various fillings, sandwiches with local baked bread, lunches to include snacks and roasts on Sunday's. Afternoon tea served in China cups and saucers with a selection of sandwiches and mini cakes and scones. Also we are going to serve chilled food that will be made fresh on the premises already for you to take home and just reheat for those lazy moments or when you are in a hurry.

After two visits. Everything is very clean and the cafe is in nice surroundings. The staff were nice. We had various breakfasts and paninis on our first visit which were all mostly good apart from the mushrooms which were obviously from a can as were the tomatoes. The sausage was only JUST cooked and really pale. The eggs were quite undercooked and slimy on top. All of which you can see in the photo. I know things are mostly cooked to order which is great but the wait was still unfortunately too long, especially having small children aswell who were very hungry and we were only the 4th table in. About 40 minutes for the food and we had finished all our drinks long before then. Second visit it was busy but we were seated and our drinks orders were taken and brought out. It was only then we were told there would be a long wait for food. So again, about 40 minutes for the food to be ready. We let the children watch most of a movie on a phone in this time as we felt guilty and were not given the heads up initially. The food was okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good, as we're the chips. But the jacket potato was rather dry and the curry was definitely a jar sauce and microwave or boil in the bag rice with packaged naan bread. It was okay but we won't return again. I think they might benefit from downsizing the menu to be more efficient and put out a higher quality meal and let people know before they order anything that they have long waiting times in general.
On holiday in Dover - Court so many people we have chatted to advised us to try the Rainbow Cafe . Today we done exactly that and had our lunch at this popular cafe . Staff are so lovely and professional excellent service unable to fault them . Food was scrumptious I chose cauliflower cheese with bacon and salad very filling . Absolutely lovely experience.
Very busy, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't wait for something to be cooked and just had something naughty but nice, lemon cheesecake, very creamy and very nice. Could have had slightly more lemon in it.

WOW. Amazing Sunday roast beef lunch. Piping hot, fresh veg. Perfection. Exquisite syrup sponge and custard. Totally satisfied. Great little place, shush, don't tell everyone.
