I’m always very wary of reviews that are too effusive: I’m by nature suspicious. Sorry if you’re like me, but this is going to be one of those reviews. We have now used Butcher’s Quarter five or six times, for everything from roasts to steaks to burgers to sausages. Without fail, the food we’ve bought from them has been tasty, melt-in-your-mouth meat of the very highest quality. We’ve just finished a superb sirloin roast pictures attached that was both full of flavour and incredibly tender. Food of this standard doesn’t come cheap and we wouldn’t expect it to. But when we get our meat from here it starkly highlights the huge difference between eating and dining. For a stunning dining experience, start by shopping here, you won’t regret it.
Late review for this amazing butcher shop! Bought a fillet approximately 600g as i remembered for making beef wellington. The fillet quality is good and is tender. Recommend!
Excellent establishment, with friendly and very knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to help… Friends and I came for lunch, steak cooked on the BBQ outside, along with sliced potatoes with cheese and a fried egg, delicious and cooked to perfection. I had a lovely glass of wine recommended by Charlotte, and it didn’t disappoint. This deli is very much worth your time.
Bought a supposed to be corn fed and free range whole chicken that cost me over £12, but disappointly discovered at home that the chicken was just regular caged one and should be sold around £4.50 in supermarket. The butcher lied that it’s a corn fed and overcharged me 3 times more for it!
Disappointed to find it closed at 4:45pm on a Tuesday, due to be open till 5 according to Google although couldn't find opening hours on their slick-looking web site. Edit: Thanks for the response. I don't do Instagram perhaps in a minority so missed your changed hours on there.
The staff is really helpful to explain about the cuts you're looking for we got some nice hanger and sirloin steaks, this is really good if you are not from the UK, the quality of the products is top notch 100% recommended, we'll definitely be back for more :-

Great shop - Mellis cheese, superb butcher-meat, Ortiz tinned fish - and a small, lovely menu for the two little tables outside eg Gorgonzola with truffle honey; game pate and short, interesting wine list.
This is without a doubt the best butchers I have ever been to, the guys here are super friendly with a wealth of knowledge and are happy to advise. Recently refurbished they now are able to better showcase all their meats in the long counter, towards the back of the shop you'll find a range of dairy products, charcuterie, the odd cookbook and a cheeky bottle of wine or two. Greeted by a very knowledgeable guy who definitely knew his stuff and how to cook it. We bought 2 fillet steaks which, when cooked where to die for. I am not normally a steak lover but to be honestbthese where absolutely amazing. The depth of flavour was incredible. Would highly recommend, next time I am going to try the sausages they make on site, cannot wait!
