Food is either fantastic or bang average. Many issues in the kitchen like desserts before mains, or mains before starter. Sometimes what we order differs to what goes through to the kitchen. Tables not always cleared of empty glasses or plates - especially quiz night Almost like they are understaffed. Love the pub as my local but you never know what you’re going to get when you walk in, regardless of how busy they are.
Stopped here a couple of weeks ago and had lunch. It was quiet at the time so we had no trouble getting a table. Food was really good. Would definitely go there again. It started to fill up by the time we left and I can see why. It's good value and the staff couldn't be more helpful.Food: 5/5
The staff at burnt post have been amazing today after catering for a large group of 21 people - bringing out the mains without delays. Food was good, staff excellent with a special thank you to Emma who worked with me to make sure the private area was solely for us, the orders were correct and the bill was paid without any issues. We will be back as a family x
Although today's meal wasn't great, staff immediately offered free desserts previously, any meal I have had here has always been very good, the BP deserves 5 stars, the staff are great. it's always clean and I'm very lucky it's my local :Food: 5/5
I met with my 2daughters for my birthday. My daughter was served still frozen beef pie sent back other 1had mixed grill she couldn't chew it I ordered hunters chicken which I couldn't even cut with loads of burnt chips. The second meal fish and chips were awful. We ended going to open arms had a lovely meal. So disappointing. Margaret Dollery

My father goes regularly for Sunday dinner and loves it. So he invited me along and I didn’t know what to expect but it was great. The atmosphere was lovely fairy lights, candles, fires, and a real plus the heating was on. Service was excellent energetic young team and manager. Food was lovely bang on price as well. Already planning return visit with friends. Well done at last a hospitality that wants to deliver in all areas. Thanks
Really friendly staff from when you walk in and the food off the daytime menu we tried was great. Daytime and evening fixed price menu is good value for money as long as there are things on there you like, which tends to be traditional pub fare such as fish and chips. Must admit my nachos as a starter were a welcome surprise being both home cooked and generous! Range of real ales on tap including Purity when we went. Wines look pretty good too. To top it all off it's got a really nice ambience and it's dog friendly, which gives it a bit of a country pub vibe. Glad I went back after several years away.
I can't praise the service and quality of food highly enough! We were a large party of 20 people. We ordered from the Festive set-meal menu. All our meals were served promptly. The food was superb and excellent value for money!Food: 5/5
Had a fabulous meal out with my mum it seems as if a lot of the staff are new and they're were fabulous! Super attentive and professional especially the new girl who's front of house she went above and beyond. Food was lovely and piping hot can't fault it whatsoever.Food: 5/5
