Sunday visit for a family meal. We have been to The Bridge before, but not for a few years. A wonderful meal, lots of different food orders by us all, as there was 10 of us. They were very accommodating and booking was pretty easy. I had the turkey roast and it did not disappoint X there were no complaints about any of the other food ordered. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert all delicious xnLots of parking, toilets were clean, and a bit of waiting around due to be it being so busy, but all the staff we encountered were helpful and polite.nThis is a beautiful spot for a meal, and in the sunny weather you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
Excellent location: just next to flowing river Cam !nNice and calm place for food and excellent beer!nIt has a separate kid-friendly menu too !nVery pleasant and lovely staff ! Had a quick service !
We've been here several times now, slightly less frequently since moving away.nnThe pros: lovely seating by the river, even some smoke free patio space. The staff are always amazingly friendly. Dogs and children are readily accommodated and their parents not treated like less than other visitors. Really cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They also have a large allergy free menu.nnThe cons:nnOutrageous pricing. £4.60 for a single coke!nThe food is consistently poor. Today was no different- everything came out tepid, the roast potatoes were clearly several hours old and chewy, none of our dinners were hot and the chocolate fondant dessert was meltey despite also not being hot. Most of the food is frozen, premade food plated and heated.nThe allergen menu isn't executed very well. Gluten free roast dinner came with non- gluten- free Yorkshire pud on it, and the pigs in blankets were just microwaved chipolatas with no bacon-- pigs without blankets.nnOverall, nice to visit for a chat and drink on a pretty patio, but would really advise eating elsewhere first.
We just had an amazing family meal at The Bridge. The food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. Every dish showcased remarkable quality and flavor, making it a truly memorable dining experience. The value for the quality we received was outstanding. Without a doubt, we will be returning. Eaten here twice recently on our way home from Cambridge. Nothing was awful, we simply waited a very long time for service on our last visit; to the point where we were genuinely considering leaving and getting Mc D's instead.nEach time the food has been fine, but not interesting, and certain elements have been cold or clearly reheated. Last time my partners' fries were stone cold and had to be sent back.nIt's warm and cozy, plenty of places to sit. Staff are friendly. I've just never had the impression that it's well run or that the wait staff know what the kitchen are doing..
