Absolutely lovely pub and restaurant. Great atmosphere. Very busy on the Sunday we visited and even with an event on, our food was served in a very acceptable time. The service was very professional and friendly. Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. I ordered the Surf and Turf, and can quite honestly say it's the best I've ever had. Thank you to all at The Bowling Green.

I've been here a few times. It's in the middle of a roundabout, it has a big car park, you put your number plate on a screen to park, so you don't get a ticket. You can pay and display if you are not going to the pub.nnNot sure what has changed whether it is the owners/chef, or both. The last time I had food there I left most of it on the plate.  The chips didn't look freshly cooked and they tasted like cardboard. The menu has changed and looks a lot better.nnI was just going to order a sandwich not fries/chips or salad. Then a saw a plate come out of the kitchen and the fries looked nice.nnMy friend and I both ordered the same. The chargrilled chicken and bacon wrap without avocado . I had fried and my friend had the salad.nnFtom the photo you can see it looked edible. It tasted nice and was freshly made. Given four stars for the good food and service which was very quick. Didn't do a review before because frankly given the state of food before this visit it wasn't worthy of one star.

We enjoyed the 'Curry night catch up on Fridays after 5pm'. We recommend the starters... Poppadoms. Our recommended main course is Chicken Tikka.  We didn't try the desserts. It was a lovely, warm evening, and it seemed like a popular venue, lots of people seated outside as well as people dining in. I would visit this venue again.

My first time here and it was a little tricky for me to find the entrance with it being on a roundabout.nDon't forget to log your car reg on the tablet inside once you park up.nIt's got a great atmosphere and the staff are very quick with the drinks.nI would say it's best to order at your table through the QR code rather than wait at the bar.nThe food was the usual quick prep food at most pubs these days, though I did find the portions a little small.nWas struggling to rate it 3 or 4. But went with an average 3 as it was a little pricey for what you get.nEnjoy.

I went alone one evening as I understood the Bowling Green was under a new management team plus a rumour it was about to be refurbished. Staff were  welcoming, friendly & enthusiastic about the pending  transformation of the pub in time for Christmas!! They already have a relaxed atmosphere now so all is exciting. I look forward to returning  next month...Best Wishes to all at the Bowling Green!!
