Stayed here overnight as we were heading to Birmingham. Only a 10 minute walk to Lichfield City station so very handy.nLovely welcome. Not often that the person providing food walks out to ask whether they had enjoyed breakfast.nI would use this hotel again in similar circumstances
Great location, lovely staff, but room we stayed in was mouldy, and paint was peeling.nnWe made one of our first trips away from home with our 4-month old, but departed concerned for our health as there were multiple areas of mould in the room. As we stayed with a baby, we took with us a thermometer that also displays humidity, and it never went below 80.nnDidn’t particularly want to leave a negative review, as the staff were so nice, but the feedback form we completed was ignored, so we had no choice but to add this review with accompanying photos.nnWould advise against staying here, as you shouldn’t pay to stay somewhere with such evident mould issues.
A brilliant 4 night stay over the Xmas period. The staff, particularly, Faye & Darlene, were very friendly and they gave me a free English breakfast. Location of this hotel is perfect, e.g. a 10 mins walk from Lichfield City station & the amazing x3 spired cathedral. My Room was very spacious, clean and I slept very well. The room could do with more cupboard space, because if you were sharing with two it would be a push to hang / put away all your clothes. Overall I was very happy with the cleanliness / comfort of my hotel room &I found all the staff, especially Faye, very friendly indeed.
Dreadful check-in experience which involved us being kept waiting for 45 minutes while the manager took drinks orders, advised on food orders and did anything possible to avoid speaking to us. A spillage in reception that was evident early evening was still there past midnight making the floor dangerously slippery. Breakfast staff were attentive with the friendly Tracey saving the day. If not for her we would have come away with a totally negative view. Lift wasn't working which was a problem.
From arrival to departure all the staff have been very kind, friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, warm and very clean. Breakfast very very nice, we were even offered fresh food to be cooked for us. Overall it has been a wonderful experience and has made our short break exceptional.
