This is a good little bookshop. A proper bookshop in the traditional sense in that they have real books on the shelves, that you can pick up, look at and even take home. The selection on the shelves is curated by a knowledgable staff who have opened my eyes to a few new authors I probably wouldn't have tried. They also order books too, often next day. Support a local business and keep a proper bookshop alive.

Visited this place to escape the rain with the kids and a bit of holiday money to spend. I found the owner/assistant very friendly and helpful when looking for new books for my 11 year old daughter who's a voracious reader. Once I told her what kind of stuff she loved she quickly came up with about 6 other books she thought she'd also love, and it was clear that she was passionate and knowledgeable about the books herself from her description of them. This is a really nice bookshop with a great selection of books for its size and the friendly welcome and advice makes it a cut above your typical high street bookshop, if you're lucky enough to still have one...

Super new stock bookshop with friendly staff/ owner and a lovely selection of books well arranged and displayed. Enjoyed chatting with her at same time as buying a new book which was recommended to us. This is why these shops should be patronised otherwise they will disappear. As we left I heard another customer asking for advice on what to buy currently for a child, again you won't get this help from web sites. Loved it will call again next time in Bridport.
