Great local option in Aboyne. Staff were friendly and accommodating even though we didn't have a reservation. We were seated in the attic, which was perfect for us - away from the noise of the main dining room. Great atmosphere, with excellent music playlist. Some menu options weren't available, but the kitchen endeavoured to provide alternatives. The food we did have was tasty and we'd return. Recommend booking over the weekend. This place is popular!

The best fish and chip I've had. Good craft beer that's locally sourced and changes often so there's always a nice surprise waiting. The atmosphere is awesome and the design 0f the inn is great too. Reservations advised since it gets full pretty quick as it's the best spot in the village;)

Great place all done up and cosy. Great for an after walk lunch with soup of the day or sandwiches. The small portions are generous. Dog friendly too in the pub area !

Wonderful lunch here last week, sat in the bar beside the lovely warm fire because we had our springer spaniel with us. Girls who served us were excellent also coping with a walking party. Defiantly will be back x

Good food, reasonably priced.  Decor a bit stark but the model train going round the dining room is a nice touch for children.  Service could have been quicker.
