A nice clean pub. If you're just going for a drink then this place is great. However there seems to be a number of issues surrounding the service of food. Slow service. On some days they turn you away if they have large groups or parties in. The steak is not good. Hit and miss. We've been three or four times now and always have issues. Shame really as the pub is well located and is clean inside. Staff seem nice but a serious review of their food service needs to be done.
Family meal of 15. Staff were really friendly right from the door. Our waitress was Jess who was absolutely brilliant she kept tally of 5 separate tabs and nothing was too much trouble for her. She did an amazing job and we couldn't fault the service or food from starters to desserts. Well done to all. Keep up the good work.
Always a cosy time at the Bluebell, reasonably priced drinks and tasty food. Dogs welcome inside and out, play park for the kids outside and plenty of outdoor seating. More than ample car parking too.
Great place for a meal with superb service. Excellent quality food.
Good pub nice and clean with a good selection of drinks. Staff were on hand and friendly, the pub was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. We had a family meal, no complaints with anything on the menu from kids burgers to adults lasagne to salmon. Recommended
the pub itself is lovely. really welcoming. the food was OK, we were a party of 6. the children's meals were over cooked which the server swapped. the steaks were chewy and cooler than what I would have liked but no one checked to see if everything was OK, so we didn't get the option to mention this. the deserts were wrong but again swapped them over. not sure we would rush to go again.
Xmas day lunch, what a disaster. The whole 3 courses took over 3 hours and the food was average at best. It was clear that this pub had taken bookings for Xmas day without having the required staffing level. Overall it was very poor. Would not recommend for a special occasion. Ours was ruined
Not happy to sit outside now the better weather is here. Smokers are dominating all of the outside space. If not cigarettes then vapes. They are disgusting and have not been proven as safe. Not fair that non smokers are not catered for. We also want to enjoy the sun so please come on management? Service inside is good.
Visited Sunday for a late lunch. Got seated quickly. Ordered drinks & seemed to be waiting ages for them. Only ordered mains & had to ask how long it was going to be. Service was very slow even though it didn't seem busy. Table next to us had same issue & they was offered 20% off their drinks!! Sorry we will not be returning.
