Great pub. Excellent pint and friendly landlord !! Definitely worth a visit !!!
Best pub in Wakefield, the staff are without equal, a pleasure to enter the doors well done to the landlord and his staff .
The Black Rock offers a variety of well kept real ales in a friendly environment. The current situation is well catered for and we felt safe yet it wasn't intrusive.
I know everybody is concerned with the Covid situation, but if you are wanting a good pint in the current climate, the Black Rock have got a very good set up that incorporates the Gov guidelines. Recommended every day of the week.
Traditional English pub tucked in a small alley with a beautiful interiour desing and a wide range of beers. A must visit
Always a good pint....amiable staff
Very friendly welcoming pub with a great choice of alcohol free including Heineken 0.0 on draught this I'd the future
One of a handful of genuinely authentic real ale pubs still left in the area. Lots of rotating cask beers and a very eclectic mix of clientele. Be mindful of the very steep stairs down to the gents in the cellar It is immediately through a door with no landing. Really like this place, simply old school pub.
Nice friendly staff good covid safety
