I came to the ‘bird in hand’ last night to meet some friends and have a couple of drinks. This was the first time I have been to this establishment. When first arriving the staff behind the bar Maria and the Landlord and Landlady was very welcoming. All the locals was very friendly and I knew straight away this was a brilliant pub. Everyone was very welcoming and made you feel comfortable.  You will never get bored of the same drink when you come to the bird in hand. The drinks menu had so many amazing drinks to choose from! I wanted to try the whole menu!  The bird in hand also serves food which I would happily go back to try out the food menu.  This is a great place to have a few drinks with your friends and relax.  Without a doubt I will be back!

Lovely evening. First time visiting with our friends who are local to the area. Great people and a good laugh. The landlord/lady was lovely and had taken time to speak to us. Bar staff was warm and welcoming. Some lovely cobs made up for a small price, all fresh salad and thick cut ham. A lot of drink choices left me struggling what to chose! Will be visiting again with our family and friends.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch there yesterday. The staff were really helpful and pleasant and the atmosphere was of a good old fashioned local pub. The views are beautiful and it was a lovely, comfortable and relaxed meal. The food was good too! We shall definitely visit again.

When we ordered our meal, one of the items was unavailable so we had to order an alternative which we were fine with. The manager was apologetic and took 10% off the bill which we said didn't need to be done but he insisted. Food was really nice and came in good time. My daughter is dairy intolerant so it was good to see a vegan ice cream on the menu. The Bird in Hand is a really nice, friendly, locals pub which is worth visiting. We are staying locally for the week and will be going back there tomorrow. Top marks to the manager and staff.

My husband and I went in for Sunday lunch on the off chance of getting a table. The landlady and staff made sure they found room for us. The food was amazing, very tasty and decent sized portions. The staff were efficient and friendly. Great prices for food and drinks and of course need to mention the amazing views out of the window. Would thoroughly recommend.

This place has been transformed over the last year. If you haven't been for a while I'd definitely recommend going!  Can't speak as to the quality of the food because I haven't eaten here but the beer is perfect. Buzzing to have another good pub in the village again!

Wonderful hosts. We had our works Christmas do Roses Pantry at the The Bird in Hand on the 11th December 2022. Food was lovely, attentive waiting staff, exceptional value for money, great atmosphere. We would highly recommend a visit to the pub with a view. X

I recently went to the Bird in hand and had the Cowboy burger, it was absolutely amazing! The staff were brilliant, super friendly and inviting. They all went above and beyond during the time I was there. Happily go back to try more of their lovely food.

Having few drinks with good friends.. fully recommend this place.. Lovely Bird in Hand pub..  Great Ales on draught. Great Food.... Dart Board and live entertainment on certain nights... Lovely views of Blidworth Bottoms Woods and a very pleasant beer garden.. The Staff are very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Feels like home without the cleaning up.

Arrived here for our sons 13th birthday and can honestly say it was the best decision. All staff are welcoming and warm and the food was delicious - 10/10. It was our first time here and are happy to say that we will be returning!
