I was a stranger who came into this pub.. the people who run the pub made me so welcome.. its my second home. I've moved from a big town though I will say I've found my happy place.. community spirit., the Bird Inn is the best and the people who run it are so friendly. 5 ✨ from me

The Bird is a small local pub with occasional live bands. There is a strong community feeling and regular events are held to support charities such as the North Air Ambulance. The prices are reasonable and the bar staff are friendly. During special events it is very well supported and lively. There are 2 main rooms - a small bar used by the older locals, and a larger room with a pool table which is used by the younger generation .

A great local traditional local pub totally, completly unpretentious with a friendly crowd and excellent hosts.

Popped in to watch the Newcastle match (they were terrible). But staff and locals were a great bunch of people, nice friendly atmosphere
