New owners doing a great job. Lovely piping hot tasty food. Table service, chips especially good, not frozen muck. Kids portions massive, simple sausage chips and beans would suffice. Could do with a kids burger and chips maybe, and a steak knife. Early days but everything great.
Been to whitehills 3 times since reopened and every time we have consistently had lovely food.nThe food is very well priced with fresh ingredients, a varied menue , staff are lovely, professional and welcoming.nThis a typical community pub with classic food . So glad we got this back xx
Nice local pub with food but no good for real ale drinkers. I visited on 9th February 2024 the place was clean and tidy and I received a warm welcome from the member of staff that served me. However it was a great disappointment that despite having 5 hand pumps they were all empty of real ale.nSadly I went to Wetherspoons instead.nI will give this place another try if they can get their act together by managing their availability of cask beers,
A true Pub in every sense of the word - not one of these fake establishments which serve mass produced food. The food was AMAZING - Good value, great portion size and excellent service. Good range of drinks available and a nice atmosphere. Beautiful hand cut chips, fresh burgers, and the lasagne was stunning! The Chicken 'porky' parmo was also massive and tasty.
Hard to review. For the price, fantastic and I would say a 4 star. All this food and 2 large drinks came to £25. However, the pie was different from the one pictured on the menu. Rather disappointing. The chips were full on cheap frozen, still slightly frozen, chips. The choice of 3 small plates starters for a tenner or 5 for £13 is great way to spread the taste. The beef was, erm, beef. Only a small bit of it was fatty and not editable. Nice, simple British pub vibes. Pleasant, clean, early 2000's music playing, lighting on the darker side which personally, I prefer.
