Story

The Bentley Hotel is ideally situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh, in a Historical building once known as ‘Motherwell House’. Built in 1874, it has been home to many of Motherwell’s founding families.

Originally built for Colonel Black of the famous Cameronians, the exterior of the building has retained its character whilst now housing a locally acclaimed Restaurant and a 16 bedroom Hotel to offer the traveller a touch of comfort after a long day.

Food was bad . Service bad . Experience bad. And what set it of was the bill for just 3 of us ( 2 adults and one child ) was over 80 pounds very experienceive for a mediocre meal.

I dropped into have lunch today. There are no vegan option however vegetarian options were available. There wasn't many options but the options available sounded lovely. Unfortunately in reality it wasn't the case... the starter was bland and my main wasn't cooked. The other guys that i had lunch with, eat meat and said that both their meals were nice. The service was slow and one of my party nearly fell off their seat as their chair was broken (wait staff replaced). I wouldn't recommend as a place to eat and there are so many other places in the local area that have better quality meals and service. The prices quoted on the Bentley website don't match the prices on arrival.

The place seems to be pritty nice but I haven't stayed there so I can't comment on the rooms

i was here for a private birthday function. staff were attentive and pleasant. Meal was lovely and the hotel helped make my mums birthday a lovely affair.
