Story

The Bentley Hotel is ideally situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh, in a Historical building once known as ‘Motherwell House’. Built in 1874, it has been home to many of Motherwell’s founding families.

Originally built for Colonel Black of the famous Cameronians, the exterior of the building has retained its character whilst now housing a locally acclaimed Restaurant and a 16 bedroom Hotel to offer the traveller a touch of comfort after a long day.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here as I was attending a family function at Motherwell FC.nHotel is a 6 min walk from the train station. Angela checked me in and was very pleasant and helpful. Room was on the top floor which was fine and was very quiet. Room was small but very clean so well done Housekeeping! Bed linen was lovely and I had a fantastic sleep.Breakfast was excellent Full Scottish with coffee & apple juice, Angela served me and again very pleasant, she seems to do a few jobs and works hard. I do think a bit of money could be spent decorating corridors and updating dining room and bathrooms. But it hasn't put me off I will be back
Looked great from the photos and reviews, however on arrival the photos were clearly a long time ago. It looked dated and in need of a tidy up from first impressions. Inside reception is dated too, still signs of the Covid restrictions etc.nThe room didn't appear to be as bad as first though when entering but slowly got worse. Noisy creaky bed, uncomfortable, mouldy ensuite shower, loud sliding door that's barely attached. Not ideal. For the price, definitely not with it.
The hotel is exceptionally amazing, and the staff has excellent customer service. The room service was good, they cleaned the room every morning when i was out exploring Scotland. Ask the staff for anything and they be happy to help you out without ease.
The Bentley Hotel is a beautiful building, inside and out.nThe staff are very friendly and helpful.nIt is reasonably priced, in fact, great value for money.
Was a lovely overnight,clean,tidy,and everything we needed.nWould defo stay again,worth the money all day long.nThank you
