Everything you could want from a Wetherspoons and more. Slightly sticky menus, an older gentleman having a pint at 9.30am, consistent breakfast, interesting building. This Wetherspoons happens to have a current loo of the year award, although I cant see why. Many loos, clean, but not especially significant in the grand scale of Wetherspoons toilets. A variety of outdoor seating.nnVery convenient car park opposite although 2hrs minimum payment, its only £2 though.
A good Wetherspoon's experience with breakfast and drinks.n4* service at the bar after a 10 mins wait - would have been 2* but I recognised that they had minimal staff and they were working well as a team- kitchen staff were helping to collect plates & glasses before we left. Good job done
Absolutely shocking! Popped in for some lunch and well I wish in went to Greggs instead. Found a table but everything was sticky, the floor, the table, the toilets everything. Ordered on the app. Food came and it was incorrect. Spoke to staff about this and was grunted at. When the food was brought out, it was cold and undercooked. Drinks arrived as as he was bringing them spilled but no apology or offer to refill. Didn't say where to get tea / coffee from so had to ask another table.nnWill never go anywhere this spoons again
Nice Spoons this one. Right in the centre of Chepstow. Only Minus was no parking at all. Was clean and tidy. And the place seemed friendly. Bar staff were quick and helpful. Drinks as usual were amazing value with loads of selection. Didn’t try the food but there seemed to be plenty of selection. All in all I would say if your on budget for a quick pint and some food, this is the place to head for.
Breakfast was quite nice, service was pretty awful forgot some of our order. The waiter we spoke to was quite rude. The cutlery was absolutely filthy and still had old bits of food on it!nnShame as it used to be a pretty decent weatherspoons, that coupled with the recent 2/5 hygiene rating we won’t be back
