Today we came for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered a spicy chicken and garlic prawn meal. Children had a fish and a chicken meal from the childrens menu. 
On arrival we waited at the "wait to be seated" area for some time. A gentle came over we ask for a table for 3 plus a high chair. He disappeared for a time, he returned and we were seated. 
The restaurant was a little busy so the wait was at this point understandable. Our waiter was clearly rushed off his feet and looked like he could of done with a break. He was very pleasant. Although our wait was fairly long to order food. 
Our food arrived and portion size was good. However the coleslaw was swimming in garlic butter as was the entire meal. It all tasted the same and greasy. It was meant to be spicy chicken and there was no spice at all ( although it may have been diluted by the puddle) the side also came out a while after our food and they were colder than my lemonade i felt bad for the waiter so we just paid and left.
It was a real shame but i doubt we will return to this particular harvester as this is now the second not great experience. The one prior was for breakfast and the sausages came out stone cold.

Had breakfast here - all you can eat around  10am in the morning,
Guy served us and gave me and the wife and kids a booth. Very pleasant service from him great attitude! Friendly informative and positive. Would have given it 5 star but the toaster can burn the toast, also not the cleanest of cutlery (for me anyway) 
Otherwise food spot on.

Set your expectations for family friendly pub dining and you really can't go wrong with a Harvester. Great salad bar and all the usual pub classics. Not exactly fine dining, but always an enjoyable meal

Never had a bad meal here, staff are very friendly and helpful amazing price and you actually get quality and quantity. The breakfast is just amazing all ordered and cooked fresh for you, you can't go wrong. Don't delay book a table today

I have visited the Beech Hurst many times and I have always enjoyed it. The staff are well mannered, the food arrives promptly and is very well priced. Free salad always feels like a great bargin too.
