Love the Barn. Just a few small details needing attention - like staff! I wanted a jacket potato with two of the toppings on the menu. When asked if this was doable the 'new' member of staff on the till said he didn't THINK that was possible. As I work in catering I knew this wouldn't be an issue at all but sadly the 'waiter" didn't have the initiative to ASK the chef or management. He also had no clue to drink measurements. At £3 a go for coke...you better get it right next time instead of half guessing measures. Serviettes are important. Give them out every single time you give customers knives and forks.. they are there next to you.. it's not difficult. If two people are eating..give them two not one. Small details make a difference.

Love The Barn at Scorton. It is a fantastic venue and great for all ages. Is always really busy and was this time. Normally great service, though this visit despite asking the staff twice the table wasn't cleared from the previous people which isn't the norm. Guessing it was down to how busy it was. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, but this time their normal level of service was lacking. It happens sometimes. Toffee cheese cake is well worth checking out.

Always good food and value for money. Please bring back rabbit pie and steak and kidney pudding. Lovely gift shop with quality gifts. You have some brilliant scarves in at the moment. Best Ice cream too.

Excellent food and service. Great for large and small groups. Nice outside eating area if weather good. Nice shop attached selling variety of things. Small garden center attached.

I came here following a long walk with my partner and her family, this was my first visit to Scorton Barn. The food service was very quick, unfortunately it was too quick. When my meal arrived the meat was still red raw on the inside while my partners jacket potato was still quite hard throughout which made it most unpalatable. I highlighted the raw meat to the staff who then exchanged the burger for a fresh one but I was left waiting for an extra 20 minutes while they cooked the burger thoroughly. Not overly impressed with the lack of quality control with the food at Scorton Barn. No apology either from the staff.
