We stumbled upon 'The Barista' by chance after attending an event locally. Upon entering we were impressed how modern and clean everything was. Note, when entering from the front the cafe is located at the back of the property. There is a door through, from the restaurant/bar. The cafe is table service. The staff were pleasant and efficient and we were quickly seated and our order taken. I ordered eggs Benedict and my husband a cooked breakfast. The prices are very reasonable, when the food was delivered to our table is nicely presented, the taste and quality of the food was equally good. I noted from my husband's breakfast the traditional Cumberland sausages, good quality lean bacon, etc. My eggs Benedict was also very nice, with runny eggs you could actually mix with the hollandaise sauce, which is how I like it. In all, we enjoyed our experience at 'The Barista'. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the positive experience.
Went for afternoon tea and cake, didn't disappoint. Very friendly staff, cakes were excellent.
Crispy chicken wrap, fresh salad, creamy coleslaw, and the ultimate pick-me-up: Bailey's coffee – because sometimes caffeine needs a little backup from Ireland nn#CoffeeWithABuzz #BaileysBreak #TheBaristaVibes #WrapQueen #BatteryFullyCharged
A lovely find in this hidden-away location off one of the main streets in Wigton. The welcome was friendly, the premises clean and smart, and the menu fairly wide ranging with some additional specials on blackboards. I visited twice, once to sit inside, and once in the sunshine outdoors. Both were excellent. Access is all at one level, and the washroom facilities well adapted and easily accessible for people with limited mobility. Definitely somewhere to go again.
Nice and modern , atmosphere relaxed. However went for breakfast and was disappointed ,wasn't expecting tiny chipolatas and under cooked mushrooms for the price it was . I've had far better breakfasts with proper farm produce in other cafes . Unfortunately won't be visiting again
