The place is lovely, I had the terrine there’s room for improvement on this dish. Mains fish chips mushy peas tartar sauce, very nice. I had swan a local beer very nice Open fire in cast iron range We will be back, I’m a chef been in hospitality for far to many years so I’m a picky individual. Nothing personal cheers
We've just enjoyed a fabulous Mother's Day lunch at Barbon Inn. The food was delicious, plentiful and faultless. The service was both friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Our dog snoozed in the warmth from the welcoming open fire. We'll look forward to a return visit!
Great little cosy Inn with very homely atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff. Nice Inn traditional Inn food, well served and good portions. Rooms are warm and perfect for that cosy sleep after being out in the Cumbria winter weather. Will always return when visiting Barbon Village.

Delicious lunches and evening meals served in a cosy farmhouse Inn in a beautiful countryside setting. Very friendly and welcoming staff and lovely garden setting to eat out on a sunny day.Service: 5/5
Called in here for lunch after a walk around Barbon Manor Estate. A friendly welcome from the landlord who invited us to sit in the garden area which is a pleasant space. Very attentive service, we were given a run though of the food available that day and we served drinks including water for our dogs. Enjoyed an excellent roast beef sandwich and home cooked chips which was just just what we needed after our walk. A great spot in beautiful surroundings away from the crowds of Kirby Lonsdale... Recommended!
Friendly local pub with great food and decent beer. Allows dogs in the bar area and also in the very pleasant garden. Portions are generous, so go hungry if you want dessert as well!Service: 5/5
Just a short stop on our way down south from Scotland X once the heating came on the bedroom was very comfortableRooms: 4/5
The rooms were very comfortable and had a cosy feel to them. The en-suite bath was a nice touch after a long day of walking. Food couldn’t be faulted fish and chips and the best breakfast. The staff were so lovely and accommodating on behalf of the bar staff and the runnings of the hotels. Would definitely choose to come back here should we ever be back in the area. Only slight issue was a ‘humming noise’ which was fairly loud while staying in room 5. We think it to be the extractor fan in the kitchen but the noise did stop at 10pm.
Comfy bed. Shower wasn't great. Bath wasn't big enough. No TV in the room. You could hear people using the toilets in rooms on upper floors. A gorgeous brekkie and coffee on tap..Rooms: 4/5
