What a great little unpretentious find. Offering a wide range of excellent, often locally sourced fare at sensible prices that seemed lacking in the rest of the town. We thoroughly enjoyed what we had which was a cut above the average.
Nice place for lunch. The homemade cream of broccoli soup was excellent. Make sure to check the allergens folder as some of the bread may contain nuts.
When visiting Sedbergh for the morning we popped in here for some lunch and we were pleasantly surprised! It was a lovely little cafe, staff were wonderfully friendly, and the food was AMAZING!! As you can see, my partner had a breakfast butty which was HUGE and delicious!! I opted for the soup of the day and a sandwich which was butternut squash and chilli with a tuna sandwich! Very delicious food and reasonably priced! Definitely recommend!
A brilliant find for lunch or an afternoon snack and other meals, I'm sure - a warm welcome in a fully Covid safe environment more careful about this than most places and a very extensive and reasonably priced menu. The meal was tasty and very well presented. The atmosphere was friendly, busy, genteel, and efficient all at the same time. I would definitely call in again, were I to be passing through Sedbergh again.
Called in for a sandwich, and has a lovely chicken salad brown bap, with a side salad and a side of. Chips also had a cup of tea, service was excellent too, will definitely visit next time we are in Sedbergh.Food: 5/5

Deliciously prepared and very tasty home cooking. Excellent Full English breakfast, perfect porridge and a good cup of coffee. Lovely host who remembered us from our last visit and a consistently good chef. Smatt’s Duo deserves to do well. Thank you.
Lovely little cafe. We were passing and called in for some lunch. Two good sized paninis with chips, and coffee. Very good price. The cafe was busy but staff were friendly and service was prompt. Would visit again if in the area.Food: 5/5
