Amazing stay. Great food, hugely welcoming, bedrooms had everything we needed for the family. A badly needed pampering from Hannah. She made the stay super special with a birthday breakfast for the 10 year old. Well above and beyond anywhere we have stayed before. Thanks Hannah, we will be back, Family Johnston.xxx
We had such a warm welcome when we first arrived on the Thursday evening. The food was delicious and wholesome, the company was great and Hannah is a brilliant bartender and server for visitors and locals alike. So much so, that we booked a table for every evening of our long weekend away. The Red Lion in Sedbergh is well worth a visit!
We decided to book a room last minute on Nye at the red lion. Hanna was so welcoming and showed us to our room . We had everything we wanted and more. Our bed and pillows were perfect. It was super clean and the towels were lovely. We hadn't booked a table but She squeezed us in for a evening meal which was outstanding, the chefs need a mention and an award in my opinion! Full of flavor beautifully presented and fresh, We had a fantastic breakfast this morning and nothing was too much trouble for Hannah and her team. I will definitely be booking again . Thanks Terraine and Phil O'Connor-Teale
We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the Red Lion. Dinner on Monday evening was excellent... service with a smile and nothing too much bother. Thank you so much and looking forward to our next visit!Service: 5/5
Young, friendly landlady. Good ales and a very lively fresh cider. Didn't eat but judging by the phone reservations they had in the short time we were there, the food must be great.Service: 5/5
Lovely pub for a pint but unfortunately the food was horrible . Scraggy bit of meat . Was offered two meats , got one. Potatoes cold . Mash lumpy . Side orders so hot I burnt my hand on the plate . Lovely staff but if you're thinking of dining there you will be disappointed.
We called into the Red Lion for lunch on our way to Kirkby Stephen. The guy behind the bar was extremely pleasant. The pub has a very local vibe to it, the few people who were in there obviously all.kmew each other. But we weren't made to feel uncomfortable, quite the opposite actually. Everyone was very nice. The place was very dog friendly. The food was okay. I had the vegetable soup but I think it only contained potatoes. I also had the potato skins, they were delicious!
Stopped here for lunch while traveling West to East. Lovely old fashioned pub. Great service and good food. Would certainly revisitService: 5/5
Lovely Sedbergh pub with great home-cooked food and a warm welcome for locals and visitors alike.Service: 5/5
Good quality and tasty food, staff friendly and helpful and the chef specially catered for my children with dairy and egg allergies. Such a relief after a long day of travelling. Thank you. Would highly recommend.
