It had a very nice modern feminine presentation with tones of pink and light blue decorations. Despite the promising presentation the coffee was quite bland. The barista on this particular day was clearly playing favorites and skipped my order completely to serve the „regulars“. In fact, I watched him throw my ticket in the trash and didn’t make mine until I inquired on its status. Then when did make my latte he used a milk pitcher that he had previously used for oat milk and the flavor was clearly present. It gets an „A“ for presentation but sadly an „F“ for quality and service.
Enjoy the food and coffee. It comes with a cookie. Nice touch. Hot chocolate was good and cheaper than similar size coffee. Found interesting the old cinema seats. Gives it some uniqueness. I liked itFood: 5/5
We dropped in because it was the only place open in the building apart from Starbucks yuk. The place was busy because of that. The food under the hot lamp looked dry and unappetizing so, we ordered a bacon brioche and a mushroom brioche. They managed to mess up our order, but we got it sorted in the end. Both items were okay, but felt overpriced for what they were, especially as we had a delicious seafood chowder in town the day before for not much more. I am sure there are better places to eat in the immediate area and I assume during the week other food vendors in the building are open for business.
First time I ate here I tried the beef pie and I really liked it. I came back a few weeks later to have beef pie again but they had run out of it so I tried some chicken dish. Sadly it was too salty. A few weeks later I returned again in search of the beef pie and I got it this time. But the problem was that I ordered beetroot salad as a side dish and it clearly had gone bad, even the smell of the salad was very bad. The most worrying part of it is that it's not like it was the left overs of the salad, they had a full recipient with salad and it was early for lunch around noon. Overall I am disappointed and won't be coming back.
2 stars, one for the hot food, which is pretty good, and one for the staff, who are nice. But none of it worth the price you pay. I've been eating regularly from here for the past 18 months and the quality sandwiches in particular has gone down noticibly in that time, while the prices have increased - most recently a 15% increase on a sandwich. And today, my take-away ceasar salad with chicken cost 12€. It's a mystery how the queuing and ordering actually works, all seems very disorganised. There are plenty of better options in CHQ, better quality at better prices.
Service was amazing!! We were a large group and they were so friendly when accommodating to our needs. The sandwiches were good as well as the porridge and vegan breakfast!
This has to be the worst breakfast i have ever eaten - over priced @ €12:50 and looked like it came straight from £ub₩ay - the food was such poor quality it repeated on me all day long - i will never eat here again
Great place to chill out in the afternoon after the manic lunch rush hour has gone. City workers back to their cubicles, The Bakehouse can then be enjoyed by tourists and freelancers like me. Nice background music, good coffee and cakes. I had a mini doughnut, cute and delicious. I didn't know that my cappuccino came with a mini chocolate cupcake, bonus! Plus, free CHQ WiFi, my life is complete
Lovely and bright. Baked on the premises. Staff excellent. Quirky searing. Really great on a dismal grey Dublin morning in November.
Hot chocolate was cold. Long waiting lines. Cashier was busy checking Whatsapp. Need to be better managedFood: 1/5
