Great eggs Benedict although the sauce was a little too runny for my liking. Great coffee. Service was great. Desserts look pretty standard but taste amazing. There is usually a cake of the day which is something special.

I used to love this place with the previous owner (a Polish lady) being a true treasure in Runcorn, always most welcomming and time for a nice chat. I came here every day on my way to work. Now I'm polished off and disregarded without so much as a smile or a thank you. What a pity!

Lovely place, delicious food, truly amazing cakes, wonderful cocktails, and friendly, helpful staff. Absolutely brilliant for vegetarians, I am completely spoiled for choice, and it's so dog-friendly that our lab has her own loyalty card. It's the kind of place you love to came across on trips to the Lake District or Wales, for example, and we get to have it here in Runcorn! Some reviewers have complained about the service but I've been here dozens of times and have always found it to be incredibly friendly and welcoming. Sometimes the service might be a little slower than in other places but I take this as part of the charm - even though it is a tiny place, you don't feel under pressure to eat and get out. Just sit in the charming cafe, or beautiful outdoor space or the incredibly cosy conservatory if you have your dog with you, and enjoy your G&T&Cake at your leisure :)
