I visited for breakfast today, attracted by the ostensibly good value deal: less than £5 for tea or coffee and an English breakfast. However, my experience was disappointing. The food was cold, and the service providers seemed confused about their own procedures. I wasn't given a receipt, and there was no verbal identification. If your food doesn’t arrive, you shouldn’t have to go searching for it, only to find it cold. This might have been an isolated incident, but it's regrettable that measures seem to be absent to prevent such confusion. The staff might be familiar with their procedures, but it's crucial to communicate these clearly to first-time visitors. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Would I return? Yes, if only to see if improvements are made. Everyone deserves a second chance, but if the same issues occur again, I wouldn't return. I hope my next visit will be better.
Good Wetherspoon pub in Derby, the real ale is excellent, I’m on Marsdens Pedigree at the moment. Staff nice, some of the locals a bit unusual but adds to the character of the place. I’ve eaten hear before and food was good. Toilets upstairs as usual for this pub chain. Would recommend Food: 4/5
Thank you for a lovely breakfast! And thank ypu so much for specially making some desserts for the 4 kids with us. They had had breakfast at home and we wanted to keep them quiet while we ate. And even though it was before desserts were available you did it anyway! Thank you so much Food: 5/5
This was a lovely pub to go drinking at, well-decorated on both the inside and outside! The lights and vintage elements like bookshelves add to the interior, as for the outside that is mostly the colours. Me and my friend enjoyed a cocktail pitcher that was given to us by really helpful staff, after they saw me coming to the bar when we changed tables and instead passed it over! The seating is comfortable and when it rains, shelter is available outside also.
Disgraceful food and service. Burns night so ordered Caledonian burgers only one beef Pattie advertised two dry and thin, forgot whiskey sauce, bland, haggis scraped remnants appeared to be reheated.no taste, poor portions, although Scottish menu, so to be expected. Felt nauseous afterwards. We’ve had good food in other venues but this establishment has let themselves down & let Wetherspoons down.
Been there many times with family. Foods are great and price is very reasonable. staff are nice and helpful. Love the self ordering system too.Food: 4/5
Great staff, always willing to help, kitchen service is fast as are the floor staff when cleaning tables etc, food has always been spot on, and bar service is helpful and fairly quick, as I'm new to the area I have always been treated fairly and respectively one of the best spoons I've been in.Food: 4/5
Friendly bar staff good beer at. a very fair price . Lovely landlady , attractive smell of meals being served although we didnt eat at that time.chap s on the next table said the food was great and ample quantity.
A typical Wetherspoon, Good value for money. Decent pint of Guinness. Cheap food, that's not brilliant, but ok and fills a hole.Food: 3/5
Still do the best, fastest breakfast in town! Value for money too, currently half price! Cheaper, faster than McDonald's rubbish!
