The best meal out we've had in years!!nCreamy Garlic Mushrooms and Prawn Cocktail to start with both plentiful, beautifully presented and very tasty.nDuck Breast and Slow cooked Belly Pork, both with all the trimmings and 2 extremely good sauces.nAgain mains well presented and very tasty.nnExcellent service, fabulous atmosphere and food from a Chef that cares about his/her food.nnHats off to you....you deserve success. We WILL be back.
We’ve been a few times just for drinks as it’s a great place for a meet-up, especially when the fire is raging! I visited for food recently and I can see why it’s consistently busy for dining. The food is tasty and they’re good portions for good value too. Friendly staff are on hand and are really helpful. Back soon!
We had Sunday lunch at the Ash Tree today and the food was fantastic. Some of the nicest roast beef I have eaten. The service was excellent too. Quick and friendly.nnThe only problem for us was the really uncomfortable furniture. Cheap uncomfortable chairs in the conservatory not suitable for older people so we ate in the bar. We had to rush our food to get home for a comfortable sit down. We would have stayed longer if the chairs were bearable but it was like sitting on a plank.
Lovely food, nice atmosphere and decoration makes it feel really cozy. Had a delicious picante pizza and sticky toffee puddung as dessert. Would definitely recommend it to others!
Called in off chance to find a lovely village pub with very friendly staff serving delicious lunches. We had the roast of the day sandwich which came with chips & a separate jug of gravy. It was delicious. They do main meals & early bird as well & not too expensive for the quality & portion they serve. Thoroughly enjoyed it & we can only say it's well worth a visit. We have passed it many times while traveling out that way so we will definitely be calling in for lunch or dinner again when passing.
