Regularly changing selection of real ales, food looks good although I haven't eaten there. Good juke box and pool room for entertainment. Gents toilets original and quirky. A pleasant pub with friendly staff and locals. Child and dog friendly too, popular with walkers and being situated on Cheviot Street is, I suppose, a good clue.
