First time at the red lion and I have to say it won't be the last! Staff very attentive and food amazing. Mussels to start and the best I have ever had! Fish for my main course and a great size portion and the sauce was so tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know.

I just stopped there to rest 15min through a long trip by car. But when I get inside I wanted something warm and they offered me a tomato soup . It was really nice feeling with the chimney and the waiters made the experience very familiar. Thank you :) 
Also the customers were nice, I was the only women and during my dinner there were arriving around 10 men just to chill, grab some beer and play domino. I've felt really comfortable there :)

Being ex locals now living in Torquay, we known this inn very well for the 27 years we lived locally.  We stayed there last year for three nights and the food was excellent as was the chalet accommodation.  I've booked in again for three nights this coming September and I would expect no deterioration in the service, food or the accommodation.

Good country pub. Didn't have a meal but the beers here a good and fairly priced. Nice atmosphere.
