We had our daughters birthday party here and it was great! All the kids had a lovely time feeding and handling the animals. There's a nice park and nature trail too. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and were excellent with the kids. It's definately going to become a frequent place for us to visit! Playground: Nice playground for children under 10 Picnic area: There is a shelter that is sometimes used for parties, but also picnic tables, benches and lots of fields to sit in for a picnic
Always great to explore here , we decided to stay on the woodland path to the beautiful pond which I've not seen since I was about 9. We used to cycle up and help to plant some young tree's . Anyway we walked around with our children
This is such a special place, run by a charitable trust for the benefit of the community, that I've enjoyed visiting for over 25 years. They do great work with children and young people and are supported by many volunteers. It's a great place to bring the kids to meet the farm and other animals, have an ice cream or light lunch, run off some energy or walk along the trail through the woods. I've visited alone today, looking for a place to enjoy being outdoors and have particularly appreciated the woodland trails and beautiful pond and there's plenty of space to find a quiet corner to rest and relax. It used to be entrance by donation, but there's now a modest charge and they encourage online booking. I love this place and only wish I lived closer!
A lovely, lovely morning out! Lots to see :- animals, woodland, farm buildings, gnomes, fairy trails, ponds...the list goes on and on. Food available at a cafe too and a play area.
Visited last week but probably wouldn't visit again. The admission price is very low and I can definitely understand why. The woodland walk was great and it was nice to see the animals that were out but I just feel as though there's not a huge amount to see/do. I'm very glad the admission money is spent on animal care otherwise I would have been a lot more disappointed than I was. A greeting/simple hello from any of the staff/workers would have been nice too, just felt very unwelcome. Prehaps worth a visit if you live very close, if not probably go to somewhere else
Took my daughter and her friend today, I wouldn't call it a day out for the family as after you have seen the animals and followed the walk you're pretty much done. Additionally on the chalk board it stated "2pm meet the little animals", we turned up expecting to be able to hold or stroke the rabbits etc, but no, this was fully booked and you had to pay extra. Nowhere did it state this and we were not informed on the way in. Suffice to say I left £15 lighter and with 2 very disappointed girls. Sorry, we won't be visiting again. Additionally, when we went to see the little animals for petting, there was an autistic boy and his grandmother who were also told they could not participate... supporting disadvantaged children on paper is great, but seriously couldn't they have allowed the poor boy time with the rabbits?
Beautiful place for kids to walk and play while watching animals. Feeding animals is not allowed which makes my kid upset . The place is tidy and clean. It Has resturant I will visit it again.
Small place, not bad for kids to look at some farm animals and other small type animals or creatures. There's a woodland area to explore too. Worth a little visit for a short or long day out. Playground: Small play ground for the little ones. Picnic area: Bench and table available, you could picnic there.
It's a very nice play to have some family time. We took our toddler there, and loved it. She got very excited to see the farm animals and walk in the mud. The cafe was also nice and cosy. They have a small shop and we bought fresh eggs and leeks. There is a trail to take a walk to the farm and nature. The only negative part was the cold water. We needed to wash our hands several times before food and leaving tge farm and it was so difficult to wash kid's hand with cold water in a chilli weather. Maybe if you go in a nice warm day, you'd even like it better. There is a free car park and nice playground for kids. Thanks Amelia Trust Farm!
Nice place, lots to see and do for kids not for you :! I visited the place last December. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you have to pre-book for a two hour visitation slot.
