The Albany Palace is down a side street from the Town Hall. It is near to Trowbridge Park. Trowbridge 'spoons - the Albany Palace, Trowbridge, Wilts, 14 May 2022. A J D Wetherspoons pub. The front of the pub is a newbuild in 2002, the rear Hill's Hall was converted into the town's first cinema in 1910 by film pioneer Albany Ward and called The Palace, renamed The Electric Palace of Varieties in 1913, only to move elsewhere in the town the next year. Pictured is the modern frontage.
Good food, rice portion size could have been more to compliment the amount of sauce for the curry, but for the price it tasted great. Will eat here againFood: 5/5
I love going there for their breakfast, its always been a huge slap up affair for a very reasonable price. At the moment they have a medium breakfast of 1 sausage 1 bacon 1 egg toast ans two hash browns with baked beans and bottomless coffee for £3.99.cant beat itFood: 4/5
I gave 5 stars simply for the value for money. 5 people had lunch with drinks for less than £50. Ok, you're not going to get fine dining and shouldn't expect to. It's pub grub and we all enjoyed it. The menu has a lot of choices. The service was fast and the staff were friendly.Food: 3/5
The atmosphere and food quality so much better than Melksham Food quality, portion size and vegetarian choice excellent Vegetarian options: Couldn't fault amount of choice Wheelchair accessibility: Access via ramps and clean disabled toilet
Disabled discrimination. I went in a few weeks ago to celebrate my partner's new job. We got a bit tipsy and we're having a nice time. Just as we left I needed the toilet so We went to use the disabled loo and I need my partner/caregiver in with me as i have seizures/autism/brain injury/hard of hearing. I was feeling unwell and needed support incase I were to fall and injure my head. A staff member shortly after banged on the door and shouted at us that a customer accused us of being inappropriate. I asked my partner to open the door to show the man that he was fully clothed and supporting me but he walked away before we could explain. It made me feel so horrible that I cried. And we left. As a disabled person who was already embarrassed that I had to have my partner in the loo , that added interaction made me feel so horrible and it wasn't okay. I would have explained myself that night but I was feeling ill and I was so embarrassed of being accused of things we didn't do. Some disabilities are invisible. I didn't have my walking stick or wheelchair that day maybe if I did you wouldn't have shouted at us. I would like to talk to a manger as soon as possible as I know have been bared for somthing that wasn't my fault. I Now have been bared for somthing that wasn't my fault. which has made me feel even worse. if one of the managers could contact me or send me there email please that would be great as I can't hear over the phone.
Haven't been for a while last minute thing, had ham egg chips and salad well ham is just cheap shop ham very limited chips very small even though got large. Was really much to it salad didn't eat ham was warm under the eggs chips was good only thingFood: 3/5
No straws for the kids, hot drink machines were all at other end of pub and only one of the two machines was offering more than just hot water. Food as always was great value and staff were helpful. Kid-friendliness: Small kids menu, with activities on rear and crayons available to occupy kids while wait, and food was Great value.
This time it was such a shame, there was a lot of shady behaviour going on between a few tables in there.. Sadly we will not be visiting again in the near future. This is the first time I have not felt safe in this pub. We quickly ate our food and left.Food: 5/5
Food was good as was service unfortunately though we sat outside to eat and could not enjoy the food so much as there was a group of people arguing so much I felt uncomfortable thinking any minute someone would end up across our table.Food: 4/5
