Lovely local pub which we booked, for a group dinner of 12 people, to try their Thai cuisine.nnI as well as another guest was disappointed by the portion size of the Pad Thai, however it seemed other dishes were reasonable portions.nnI tried mango sticky rice for the first time, for dessert, but was disappointed by the presentation compared to the expectations/standards an earlier Google search had set. Given this is the only dessert other than scoops of ice cream on their menu, I would have expected a little more pride/effort.
We wanted to try the Thai restaurant. It was really delicious, good size portions and great service!nWe will most definitely go back!
I am writing to express my disappointment with the way we were treated at Nelson's on my son's 16th birthday . We had decided to celebrate by having food and drinks, as I understood that a 16-year-old is legally permitted to consume alcohol with a parent present.nnHowever, shortly after my son took a sip of his beer, the lady manager abruptly approached our table and demanded that we leave. I presented my son's ID to confirm his age, but she claimed it was against the pub's policy for him to drink. When I politely asked her to show us the policy, she was unable to do so and continued to insist that we leave immediately. As a result, we had to leave, leaving both our food and drinks untouched.nnThis incident was not only embarrassing but also ruined what was meant to be a special day for my son. It felt as though the manager did not want us there from the beginning, which made the experience all the more disappointing.nnI will be escalating this matter further on trust pilot, but I wanted to first bring it to your attention.
