The food is OK, reliable huge portions and perhaps good value for money. It is nicely spiced and tasty, I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic you can find but great in the Charlotte Street area, although lots of restaurants but limited in terms of comfort food. I think the pineapple fried rice with duck is great and the chicken satay too, esp the peanut sauce.
Me and my bestie went today for brunch ! I had kung pao which is spicy and i love it although my friend couldn’t handle it , I like it . She had Pad Thai which I am not big fan of until I tasted that one! It was paradise ! Every single bite was a joy ! Haven’t eaten such a good pad Thai never ! Although I liked the kung pao , I was in love with the pad Thai , and genuinely with this one ! I even thought I will ask for the recipe but I didn’t wanted to be rude . The service were on point too ! Cheap and tasty! Definitely will come back for more pad Thai .
One of my friends favourite places in London, after a class at uni she’ll go and get a meal. I had the Thai iced tea amazing as well as the drunken noodles with tofu which was an huge portion for what I paid and had to take leftovers home with me ! Highly recommend !Food: 5/5
Thai Metro is sensational. Having been missing thai food so much we went here and had chicken satay skewers, veggie spring rolls both incredible and then we had prawn panang curry with a spiced fried rice which unfortunately i cant remember the name of. All the food was so good and reminded me of being in thailand, great portion sizes and amazing value for money! 10/10
AVOID, AVOID AVOID. Disgusting food and even more disgusting customer service from the manager and waiter. I suspect they are either racist to Arabs or completely incompetent at serving a basic noodle soup dish. I ordered the seafood soup. I was shocked that I only had 5 small pieces of fish and over half the plate was full of mushrooms and noodles! They have a separate mushroom soup so I wasn’t sure why my dish had more mushroom than fish. There was barely any sauce or seafood in a seafood soup! They are trying to undercut customers - the fact my friends ordered curry and had more sauce than my soup dish is shocking. I asked them to take it back as I could not eat it and the manager brought my plate back out after 5 minutes to shout at me saying I have to pay for it. He argued with me for 10 minutes not offering an alternative and just said that I will be paying for the soup even though 90% of the food was still in the plate. I’ve never been shouted at before and he kept cutting me off and didn’t listen to a word I said. He shoved the food in my face and accused me of eating most of the fish in a rude, loud and arrogant manner. I do not recommend this place as they seem to discriminated against, I was the only person there and was shouted at and treated horribly. AVOID at all costs as they are looking to argue with a certain type of customer. If you want basic decent food and service do not come here!
Dinner on a Friday night, went in around 6pm, not very busy. Waitresses are friendly, polite and smiley, lovely people but not very professional, my husband had Pad Thai, he said the pork is chewy, noodles are ok, not the best pad Thai he have ever had but not the worst either, just average. I had Tom Yum noodles soup with Seafood, it’s fresh and tasty, it had a flavour of tomatoes, when I ordered I was worried it would be very spicy, so I told them to make it mild, and it ended up not spicy at all, tasted like clear tomatoes soup but still nice. I like the seafood and the starters, especially the fried prawns and spring rolls.
My favourite Thai restaurant in London! My highlights are the green curry and the chicken satay cozy atmosphere and nice service!Food: 5/5
This Thai restaurant is quite cozy near the busy street of Tottenham ct road. The staff were attentive and helpful. The pineapple rice is to die for. Great value for food, has generous serving as well. Thank god my friend introduced me to this nook and so went there with my colleague for the 2nd time.
UPDATE: Unfortunately this restaurant is doing something dishonest with their bills. Last time I went there with a bigger group of people, they not only add some drinks and food we didn't order they took them off after complaining also the total amount was wrong. The bill amount was higher than the amount of of items on the bill when you ad them one by one. I only noticed that at home. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth! I doubt I will be coming back or recommending this place to my friends and family. Such a shame because I really liked that place! I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is absolutely delicious! We had red, green and panang curry... and some other delicious food. WOW! It was one of the best Thai curries I had in London and believe me I am not exaggerating; it tastes so authentic and aromatic. The service was also very good. The lady who was serving us was so helpful and very polite. Prices are reasonable and affordable. I'll definitely be back there for more of their delicious food.
Had lunch in Thai Metro today. I had Drunken Noodles with Beef £7.65 and my friend had Traditional Fried Rice with Pork£7.65. Both of them were delicious. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Not sure if the food was authentic but I was hungry after being out in the sun all day and looking for something tasty with good portions at a good price- something that this place has. Most of their menu is below £10 which is a plus in my book. Definitely coming back. 5 out of 5 stars.
