First of all we had Louisa H serve us on our visit & I must say she was amazing & a credit to the company. The food was great, the Jack Daniels chicken strips were tasty & juicy. My only complaint is the portion sizes seems to of got smaller & the chicken wings are really small for the price & not really worth it. Overall great service & good food.
Came here for my birthday, enjoyed a nice meal with my mom, dad and brother. I had the chicken pasta which was really yummy. As it was my birthday the staff sung me a happy birthday song which filled me with joy and happiness. Got given a handmade balloon hat which I put on my head for the duration of the time we was there. I also got given some cake with cream which was delicious! I was able to use my student discount but the signal here isn't really the best. Amelia was really nice, polite and friendly. Thank you :-
I can't explain how utterly over priced this place is. We had, 2 cocktails because you are FORCED to pay £16 for two, 2 beers, 2 caprisuns. 2 Adult main meals and 2 kids mains and it came to £97. £97 for ONE course. The cocktails were rubbish. The food was nice but no better than a Harvester. What on earth is going on with that pricing. We could eat at quite a nice restaurant for that price. Not to mention the service was dreadful. The staff were lacking in training. We had to prompt orders to be taken there were 4 tables in and at least 6 staff on. When asking for things we were met with rudeness and like we were burdening them. It was a hot day and we have two small children, it took 15 minutes before I had to ASK for drinks. Like guys, just put water down on the tables. Don't be rude to customers when they ask where the rest of the order is. Pre empt their question and advise the rest is on its way. Won't come here again. What a shame as TGIs is one of the only original Touchwood restaurants and it was severely overpriced for poor service, mediocre food and absolutely rubbish cocktails.
Really happy to see more choice for vegetarians/vegans. I wouldn't recommend the fajitas as it's mainly onion and chillis. The Jack Daniels sesame strips were alright but the shop stopper for me which might seem sad but i love it was the garlic mash. Next time, I'm probably just going to go for small plates and try the vegan loaded fries! The server we had was fantastic, we never had to ask for a refill of our drink - she was already on it. She made conversation and gave us information on dishes. Music is always a little too loud in tgis I find and it's difficult to have a conversation. Vegetarian options: A lot more veggie/vegan options available. I wouldn't recommend the fajitas though.
Went in the afternoon and it was quiet on a Wednesday but either way the service was great. Didn't get the waiters name. Food was greatFood: 5/5
Sweet, sour spicy chickens, hot sun and cold fresh beer… Great way to start the weekendFood: 4/5
Terrible. TGI used to be ok for a chain place, but prices have gone up by around 50% and quality has dropped through the floor. Even their cocktails are now prr mixed rubbish. £30 for some manky ribs!!! Service was rubbish, we had to go and get a waiter twice to come for our orders of drinks and then food. There was a massive delay for the starters then a long delay for mains, my ribs were stone cold and had to go back. All in all a sad experience in a once over the top happy place. They don't even do happy birthday songs anymore.
Went during the week for lunch. It wasn’t busy but the service and food took a while although the staff were friendly. The children’s meal portions were ridiculous, I have been to another TGI’s and ordered the same for my son so was disappointed when the hot dog came in a burger bun with a scattering of chips. Not good value for £7.50. Will go elsewhere next time.
The only good thing about this place was the service. Food was astonishingly overpriced. £20 each for a bowl of chicken pasta. Looked like they shared a chicken breast and pasta was tough. Rest of meals over priced and small portions. Best part was leaving.Food: 2/5
Nice food, our waitress whose name I forgot to note down was really good. Attentive but not over the top . Tad on the expensive side overall. Good vegan optionsFood: 4/5
