Huge Extra Superstore in the heart of the town with a huge car park which has a 3 hour limit on it for customers.nThis store will undergo various refits between July and September this year as it is getting tired and needs updating. There are wide aisles with a large non food section as you enter, lots of self service tills with about 6 or so manned tills. The range is typically Tesco, the staff were friendly, there was a manned mobile phone shop as well!nThere are four Pod point 7kw electric vehicle chargers just outside the store in their own marked dedicated parking bays, best of all.. they are free to use!
I use my husbands Facebook account, so his name shows up here. I would not normally post on such an open forum but Tesco in their wisdom? Have removed from the Internet and their website the call centre customer service telephone number and despite there being the telephone option to speak to the store staff, it cuts off and says that no one is available as soon as you press the relevant button.nI visited the Tiverton store on Blundells Rd on Wednesday 21st August at 2.40pm I then went to the ladies toilet before leaving the store. There are three cubicles and the middle one is out of order, I went into the cubicle on the right. The sanitary bin was overflowing, there were used items and nappies ontop of and strewn around the bin and across the floor. It was absolutely disgusting. I went to customer service to inform them, only to be told that they are aware of the problem and that it is ongoing. If this level of hygiene is on show in a public place, I dread to think what is going on elsewhere in the store and behind the scenes?
Is it Tesco policy for staff to put lots of packets of fish on the FLOOR before placing them for customers on the shelf? Watched this at Tiverton Store this morning.
I had the most horrible experience at the Tesco in Tiverton, Devon. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this visit was going to be a disaster. The store was in disarray, with shelves half-empty and products scattered everywhere. But the worst part was the security guard with red curly hair.nnHer behavior was absolutely unacceptable. From the outset, she was rude and confrontational, glaring at customers as if we were all suspects. When I asked her for help finding a product, she was dismissive and unhelpful, responding with a sarcastic comment and rolling her eyes. Her attitude made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome.nnThe situation escalated when she assaulted my friend for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also downright dangerous. She clearly needs to be either fired or given extensive training on how to perform her job properly and treat customers with basic respect.nnAdditionally, the overall atmosphere of the store was chaotic and unpleasant. There were long lines at the checkout, and despite multiple complaints from customers, the staff seemed indifferent and slow to respond.nnI am thoroughly disappointed with my visit to Tesco in Tiverton and will not be returning. The behavior of the red-haired security guard was the final straw in what was already a terrible shopping experience. I strongly advise others to avoid this store.
