In Oban for a couple of days and stopped 2 nights in the town centre car park with the camper. £6.50 each night. Not a lot of other places to stop overnight with obvious warnings on all other car parks. Well situated in the town centre and the Tesco cafe opened at 0700hrs.
One of the nicest Tesco branches I've been in. Looks like it's been refurbished fairly recently. Very clean and mostly neat and tidy. Very well staffed and good availability/choice for a store in a small town. Facing up could be nicer but the home shopping pickers were out in force emptying the shelves anyway.
Popped into the cafe for a late breakfast. Ordering is automated and straight forward to use. The cafe was busy and we got the last seat. As a result I expected a wait but the drinks and food were out in no time. Staff were polite, friendly and the food spot on for us....and I'm fussy! Tables around us were cleared almost immediately someone left and the cafe was clean and had all condiments, salt, pepper, sugar, sauce etc. This was a reasonable price, easy service and can't fault.
Excellent produce! The Spanish nectarines, white nectarines, peaches, and plums in June were spectacular! The strawberries were the best I’ve had outside of central Japan.
Very busy store excellent disabled parking very clean toilets just don't like the Tesco card scheme
