Went in today as I had to run my visually disabled mother in for a few bits even though it's my local Tesco's I prefer to go elsewhere today proved why... Going into the store there were cages being used for restocking most out of the way BUT the dairy aisle was blocked by one of them next to the aisle creating a crush with only room for one able bodies person to get through, so due to a man on a disability scooter unable to get through along with me trying to navigate my way through with a blind person & a trolley I moved the cage over, to which a yogurt fell off the cage... One male worker shouted the individual blonde older lady that had left it right in the way and said she'd knocked it off to which she sqwarked I didn't touch it I then picked up the item/items that had fallen off and said I'd moved it because disabled people and others can't get the through, the male staff member apologised but the female member of staff gesticulated with her hands & face... I carried on with my shop as to be quite frank small minded people don't raise my blood pressure... However following this I was continuing down other aisles I caught the same blonde lady stood at the end of the aisle I was in gossiping with an equally 'happy' looking female member of staff to which the blonde lady saw me look up and scarpered, but the other member of staff stood glaring at me... And my disabled mother who had a white stick... Unfortunately there were no visible management on the floor otherwise I would've expressed my distain for the behaviour... Small town convenience with equally it seems as small minded staff... Id say there are some fantastic staff that work there but unfortunately a few that clearly have no understanding of either disability or front facing careers in which I assume probably wrongly that they are trained with some level of customer services however these women must've been off that day...
Following our visit to Tesco stores at Watton Saturday evening around 5pm, our arrival was brought to an abrupt halt as the clutch broke, putting us in the hands of a recovery truck. We informed the shop of our dilemma and the staff were very supportive, offering a drink if we needed. Over the last 6 years of using this store I haven't had any issues . Come here several mornings a week and staff are very friendly and helpful.nMy only gripe was one morning a young shop worker picking from shelves smelt awful. Obviously issues with personal hygiene. A difficult subject for other staff and managers to approach but really not good in a food store !
A smallish store but has everything you need really, not sure why people say the staff are rude I've always found them super friendly and helpful ‍ you'd soon miss it if it wasn't there!
This is my local so use it often and find it quite good....as far as shopping goes. Good variety and fresh produce. My biggest gripe is that there is no deli counter. They do have a few items in a cooler but it would be nice to be served with the amounts of meat, cheese etc that you need.
