Rude staff. My mate and I popped in to buy some drinks on 6/1/23. We accidentally ended up in the card only lane and the lady had to call over a guy to use the cash lane next to her. While she didn’t card us the guy did and aggressively looked at our IDs and huffed at me saying I guess that’s ok I’m nearly 28. His attitude was off putting and his aggressiveness was over the top considering it was an accident. Why do cash only lanes that’s what self check out is for.
It's easy to pick fault in large stores and organisations. The Penarth store isnt an Extra so isnt full-ranfe. The store is the staff and the staff at the Penarth Tesco store are friendly people who go the extra mile to help. Many have been there a long time.
I've seen a review here stating that the floor supervisors and kiosk are rude. Well that isn't true at all. They have always been really friendly and helpful when I've been in here, which is pretty much daily as it's my local store. Great selection of goods and pretty much all you need from a supermarket. ALL the staff here are friendly.
Tesco Penarth store 3019 Very helpful and supportive store towards a local Day Service for people with Disabilities. Much appreciated and generous raffle prizes donated The funds raised will go towards providing treats and little extras for the people we support. Thank you from Ambito Sully.
The staff here are superb. Such friendly, kind souls and nothing’s too much trouble. It’s a delight to grocery shop here. They sell a good selection of flowers and gift cards. There’s even tights and kids socks. Being a smaller store they’ve had to be selective with offering but I think they’ve got the balance just right. Great place.
This Tesco is convenient as in my route home from wrk. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. I would give them a better rating however its always a daily battle with cages and empty boxes clogging up the already narrow Isles. Getting around this store is not easy. Also, the baskets are often not replenished enough by the entrance doors so you have to hunt around at checkouts for one before you can begin your shop.
This is my corner shop. I am in here every day.I am an adventurous cook and I have to say that they have never been unable to supply something I needed. The staff are always helpful. I was sorry to see the cafe close. You do get trolley jams but I have never seen trolley rage yet. The pharmacy staff know their stuff which is important to the wrinkly ones. Parking is always easy although the bays could be a little wider for the bigger ones. Message for the Manager: STOP moving the stock around. I know the suits say it is good for sales because it makes people look at other things. It just makes people ,not to mention most of the staff, frustrated because they cannot find what they want and wastes staff time taking customers to find things.
Around 8pm baskets placed outside are gone and customers have to make their way to the self-service check-outs to pick up one, about 20 metres away. If you ask the manager - a blond lady, hair to the shoulders, nothing is done. This is not the first time it happens. Although Tesco closes at 11pm, zero baskets in the entry area is a standard for them. Plus the manager looks so bored and uninterested that customers would like to run from her. This is not how Tesco should treat its customers.
My favourite Tesco in Penarth. What a lovely store. It's clean and tidy and the shelves are well stocked. The staff are very friendly and always got a smile on their faces. This is how a superstore should look. Well done to the manager and his staff for always making my visit to your store a great visit. Asda Leckwith take a look how a superstore looks tidy, helpful staff and the shelves stocked.
Whilst in these times of uncertainty I must commend ALL of the staff from checkout tills to domestics. Your patient's has been amazing! Thank you.
