I spend over £200 every couple of weeks here on a food shop. I use the scan as you go because it’s time consuming to go to the till and queue and wait. Today my trolley was selected and the assistant had to verify over 143 items. This meant all of my food had to be taken out and then god knows what way it was re packed. Treated like a common criminal and majorly inconvenient, defying the purpose of using scan as you go. I was tempted to just abandon the shop, if it happens again I will abandon it and some poor assistant will have to put it all back. It seems everyone and their dog goes to this shop on a Sunday for “a big day out”. Mindless people are walking aimlessly in the aisles. People are bringing 4 kids with them. Not enjoyable at all. I want to get in, get out and get gone. How sad that a food shop has become a family outing. Take your kids to the park or for a walk. Stop clogging up the aisles staring at a bottle of red sauce.
Good quality I get food delivered on Saturday and comes fresh every time I would recommend 5 stars
Just purchased roses1 hr ago for tomorrow, as soon as they were removed from the wrapping leaves and petals dropped everywhere. Only 9 of the 12 roses are ok, but I can’t see them lasting til the morning.nNever had flowers this bad. Feeling really sorry for all those romantics buying them today, hoping to give a nice gift tomorrow:-
Went this evening to get a random top up shop and grabbed two packs of paracetamol, went to self scan and course it flagged needed to be over 16. Girl asked if I had id to which I didn’t so refused to sell PARACETAMOL to a fully grown woman who is nearly 30. Clearly she wasn’t having a good day and wanted to pass her bad vibes on as she also didn’t so much as greet me before she asked. This has put me in such a bad mood this evening. I used to work in retail so understand the rules but like seriously I had my car keys and am clearly not a child. Her colleague clearly seen she was being awkward as he wished me a lovely evening and week. Would put me off visiting again
The three stars are for the staff at self scan check outs who are always helpful with the exception when they are stuck with customers having to check all items in their trolley and the queues just get longer for assistance.nThe problems around the store are soft fruits which have no decent sell by dates. For the last six to eight weeks the scales for weighting fruit and veg have been broke. Surely with the profits of Tesco they can afford to be replaced!nThen there are the pickers - yes, they have to do their job but their trolleys block the isles so much so customers doing their own shopping have to wait, push them aside or negotiate around. Staff training definitely needed!nBut I suppose management will do nothing to address the above??
