Update 21st July - Some Faith Restored---- After discussions with Martin Phillips and estimator visit they agreed to pay for painting touchup to be redone, Liz who I dealt with was very courteous and apologetic and a pleasure to deal with. The issue has now been resolved and paint is back to how it was previously... Unfortunately the experience has been stressful due to the initial extremely poor customer service offered by the guy I spoke to on the day the damage was caused however was somewhat made up for by the very nice and helpful attitude of Liz when she spoke with me, just a pity the initial guy lacked any level of professionalism and caused the stress that he did, no way to deal with anyone let alone a customer in the right!!! thank you Liz and Martin for your help to resolve this issue I appreciate it. original post: See pictures attached of how newly painted walls get marked up when carpet fitted... Ordered carpets two weeks ago, at time of order asked if ok to paint or wait before carpet fitted, I was told to go ahead as fitters are very careful, I specifically asked if they would stand over any issues with scuffed or marked walls after spending a small fortune to get my hall stairs and landing painted and decorated, carpet fitted today and walls badly scuffed, called Martin Phillips and said they wouldn't stand over it as wasn't intentional damage. As if I would get someone in to intentionally damage my house. absolute disgrace walls completely need repainted, would not use again or recommend. Update 8th July, order details and contact number supplied to company on 6th July, awaiting response on their resolution
I recently purchased carpet from Martin Phillips. The salesman Jonny I dealt with was extremely helpful. I had a small issue with the fitting of it but the fitter Paul promptly came back to rectify it. I would highly recommend Martin Phillips.
