I visit Tesco Extra Morfa, Ln Carmarthen probably once a month on route home to Oxfordshire after visiting my mum in Pembrokeshire. I always stock up on Shirgar salted butter as it’s a family favourite. Today, we were late leaving Pemb’s so I said to my husband we’ll stop off and stock up on Shirgar butter, which I knew was on offer and I’ll buy ready meals for Sunday dinner. This is something I NEVER do because I make everything from scratch myself normally, but knowing we’d be late arriving to Oxfordshire and are working early the next morning it was a necessity. I suggested he wait in the car and I’d do a quick trolley dash! I ran in and grabbed a self service zapper and ran around the store zapping away. I got some reduced bargains, which I was feeling chuffed about, because the chap reducing tickets reduced mine further, so I did take things off the handset and re-zapped, including a cooked chicken for a rotisserie ready raw chicken. When I came to pay I realised that the reduced stuff has doubled up on the handset, so a kind member of staff took it off for me and I paid. When I looked at my receipt, it seemed a lot, I noticed I’d paid for 3x chickens. I was directed over to customer services and knew that my whole trolley would have to be checked with my receipt. Leanne and Nansi, who were so helpful went carefully through my receipt and rectified the problem with my handset and refunded me the overcharged chickens. I think the problem with the handset was due to the wifi. My husband came in to find out where I was, so a quick trolly dash backfired! Good job I bought everything ready made because Sunday dinner will be very late tonight. I just wanted to thank the excellent staff at Tesco Carmarthen for their friendliness and wonderful customer service. I’ll keep popping in for my butter, but maybe not ready meals.
On March 9th we purchased an iPhone at the store. The staff member, Luke, was amenable, informative and very tolerant of my wife and my lack of technology awareness. He was so helpful and patient and he made the experience so enjoyable. He was clearly an expert but had the skills, patience and sense of humour to explain things at our level. Courteous and well spoken, it was a pleasure to meet him.
A member of staff, Harpi or Harpo I think they said their name was, suggested I download the tesco card app. So nice of them to take the time, even when the store was so busy. I was given wrong information initially by another member of staff, saying I could pick up a card by the till. Saved me quite a lot. Thanks!
Went to shop at Tesco Carmarthen today. Only 4 manned tills open with long queues in each. All the other tills were self service. Until you pay me the equivalent salary of a member of staff I will not use these on principle. Other customers obviously feel the same - hence the long queues at manned tills. In future I shall be shopping at Lidl acoss the road.
When are they going to sort out their toilets! My wife tells me the ladies are a disgrace, seats are lose or the wrong size and have been for ages, and both are generally unclean!
