Tesco is getting a very impersonal store.nStaff walking around with long faces, they never reply to a good morning from me.nVery few tills are open even on busy occasions when people are queuing at the self-service tills.nNo bakery to speak of, nothing like a fresh baked loaf of bread still warm from the oven all gone.nWe only go there now for our mobile phones and the wife's packets of vegetable soups.nIt's a pity, as I myself remember Tesco starting up in Hereford as a small store by Chad's department store.
Visited twice, both times ‘hustled’ by the number of Tesco personal pickers for click and collect and deliveries. Not the best experience when you’re outnumbered and have their trollies to navigate and get hit on the ankles by the last one…..
I visit Tesco Extra Morfa, Ln Carmarthen probably once a month on route home to Oxfordshire after visiting my mum in Pembrokeshire. I always stock up on Shirgar salted butter as it’s a family favourite. Today, we were late leaving Pemb’s so I said to my husband we’ll stop off and stock up on Shirgar butter, which I knew was on offer and I’ll buy ready meals for Sunday dinner. This is something I NEVER do because I make everything from scratch myself normally, but knowing we’d be late arriving to Oxfordshire and are working early the next morning it was a necessity. I suggested he wait in the car and I’d do a quick trolley dash! I ran in and grabbed a self service zapper and ran around the store zapping away. I got some reduced bargains, which I was feeling chuffed about, because the chap reducing tickets reduced mine further, so I did take things off the handset and re-zapped, including a cooked chicken for a rotisserie ready raw chicken. When I came to pay I realised that the reduced stuff has doubled up on the handset, so a kind member of staff took it off for me and I paid. When I looked at my receipt, it seemed a lot, I noticed I’d paid for 3x chickens. I was directed over to customer services and knew that my whole trolley would have to be checked with my receipt. Leanne and Nansi, who were so helpful went carefully through my receipt and rectified the problem with my handset and refunded me the overcharged chickens. I think the problem with the handset was due to the wifi. My husband came in to find out where I was, so a quick trolly dash backfired! Good job I bought everything ready made because Sunday dinner will be very late tonight. I just wanted to thank the excellent staff at Tesco Carmarthen for their friendliness and wonderful customer service. I’ll keep popping in for my butter, but maybe not ready meals.
This is a huge store with a huge choice. There's homeware, clothes, books, diy stuff and a vast amount more! Everything is good value and the staff are so friendly. Huge carpark that is easy to navigate.
Yet again the toilets in this store are beyond disgusting.....surely someone should be responsible for cleaning them!! Won't use this store anymore makes you wonder how clean the rest of the store is !!
