Edit: visit 2 was definitely better than the last. So will be a 4 star. I had a fun experience here while bowling with friends which is why I'm giving the 3 stars. It was expensive and so were the drinks. Not only that, our drinks took FOREVER to come. Crazy how long it took even though they were not busy. Fun place to go to for fun but not even close to a perfect experience.
Couldn’t have asked for lovelier or more helpful staff. I lost my phone in the air hockey machine, and I got a call back the next day from the very helpful manager saying they’d found it, and since we’d lost our bowling session the night before thinking the phone was gone or had been stolen, they allowed us to have the session we’d booked when we picked up my phone - which was so thoughtful and going beyond what I expected! We really enjoyed the bowling, reasonably priced food and drinks which were standard yummy fried American style, and they have a good selection of arcade games. Would recommend and we’ll be back!
Nice place to have fun, definitely recommend for families/friends/couples, has a big big bowling area and nice food as well. The bar tenders are pretty average, they don't really have bar training from what I noticed so don't expect them to make good quality cocktails for example. But other than that, great place! I even got a octopus toy from the tickets I won.
Very nice bowling place, best one I’ve been too. Staff are friendly, clean place and reasonable pricing too. I did wait a little while for a drink as there was only 1 staff member doing drinks so maybe put more staff on during peak times? I visited on a Saturday evening.
Great selection of arcade & pub games snooker/pool, air hockey, table tennis, claw machines, coin pusher games etc., all of which are pretty cheap. Usually no need for any pre-booking. The staff were quite nice, though they could have been a bit more on top of the cleaning up it was pretty empty but there were still lots of dirty glasses from previous visitors.
Took my daughter here with her friends for her birthday. A couple people were running late and the staff were happy to wait for everyone to arrive before starting our session. Great Bowling venue.
The air hockey machine swallowed my money & didn't give me a game so I told one of the staff behind the bar and he told me he'd send someone over so I should just wait by the machine. 10 minutes later and nobody came so I went back to the bar and the other barman moodily told me to ask at the reception desk because they don't deal with the machines. I went and asked at the reception desk and they said they'd be over but they just ignored us for another 10 minutes. We eventually got credits on a different machine but it was little consolation after I was treated like a nuisance and ignored for 20 minutes by staff who had a bad attitude. To be fair the girl behind reception was nice though, it was just the bar staff who had an attitude problem.
After sifting through the reviews I think there is a general consensus that the service is pretty bad. Having been there on two occasions now, recently in the hot weather put it down to being so hot and muggy inside, but actually on the second visit being cooler outside was hot and stuffy inside! We ordered food it took 30minutes to arrive was quiet and was absolutely horrid, cold and noticeably just microwaved as confirmed by the manager when I complained. He was however very polite and immediately gave me a refund. Lots of staff all really doing nothing but having a chat around the bar. Toilets were filthy, food all over the floor and dirty tables. Needs much better management!
The arcade part is kind of poor and a 10p coim dash game? Way too expensive! Anyway, bowling alley is fine and fun. Bar could have a nicer variety of draught. Haven't tried food or any other activities.
You could actually pay attention and admit that you hire staff based on nothing else than .... First to come first to be employed obviously minimum wage ... your staff at the counter...all of them...completely unaware of what they are doing.... just be brave, mind wise enought and invest in some decent employees and pay them a decent salary..you might end up doing better than now!
