Went in the house and the farm. The house is good especially if you have children with you there are rooms with dressing up clothes and baskets with games in as well as interesting stuff for the adults. We especially enjoyed the farm lots to see, there is a good adventure playground in the farm grounds and plenty of places for kids to run around in the grounds of Temple Newsam. All in all I thought prices were very reasonable and the gift shop had affordable gifts for the kids. We had lunch in the cafe it was very good food and also a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
Very nice place. The farm is lovely and the animals are very well looked after. We enjoyed the playgrounds and the observation beehive, so interesting. We will be coming back. The only thing to mention is the car park, it could be more organised.
We travelled here with 7 of us. 3 adults and 4 children. Which only costs £22 for everyone to visit the farm. The grounds are spectacular. This is lots to do. There is the farm where we got to see some small piglets a week old. There is a play area further around and lots of areas with information on how a working farm operates. Outside the farm has toilets and a tea room. Lots of areas for dog walks and fields for games and walks. Will visit again. Everyone loved it.
A great day out for all the family. Over Easter they have lots of new borns on the farm plus activities for kids in the house. The farm has a few interesting raw breeds, see the dinosaur Transylvanian naked neck chicks in the chick shed. It also has piglets born on 25/03/24 out and about. If you look upwards you might even see the wild parakeets with their distinctive green feathers.
Really great place to take children. Huge park and woods to explore, lovely walled garden with fabulous collection of flowers in the big greenhouse. Plus its all free unless you want to visit the farm or the house. You see quite a few animals when you walk around so not really essential to visit the farm. We had a great day out.
Great place to visit for all ages something for everyone great friendly staff
Decided to visit today and thoroughly enjoyed. If you have never been before, worth a visit. The range of animals on show really impressed the wife and I, my one year old just amazed. The farm also has alot of museum items and historical equipment. Information is present all around the farm. My only issue was it was very well signposted for where the animals where and just a little mazy. We were informed where a door was open we could enter. After finding the sheep, we later returned and couldn't access them again. I dont know if a map or guide is available, but would be useful. We found what we expected but curious about the empty area passed the underpass. Fantastic overall
Incredibly disappointing, we’ve been taken our little boy 7 month old around petting farms recently as he loves them. We’ve visited cheaper, and free farms that are better than this. There was a small collection of pigs and goats, that’s it. It was really disappointing, barely anything to look at and nothing extra kids could really interact with.
Good family day out. Not too expensive. And we were lucky enough to see a lamb being born.
Love it here. I love it. Every time I go there's loads to do. There's parks loads of different animals, decent day out with the kids for a good price and there's always loads of parking
