Tattenham Corner is the last stop on this line for southern trains which go through to East and South Croydon Stations then up to London Bridge. The services from this station is every 30 minutes there are three platforms and disabled access aswell along with the ticket office area which is small with seats and books to read and a staff member behind the counter. There where some toilets on the other side near platform 1 there is a car park outside the station across the road and the racecourse is around a 10 minute walk from the station. The station is peaceful and clean and I very much enjoyed using Tattenham Corner train station.
In my opinion, This station is underrated. Half an hourly services to London Bridge. And the fact it has 3 platforms is quite a surprise however seeing the racecourse you can understand why as during race days loads of trains that usually terminate at east Croydon or coulsdon south instead head all the way to London Bridge which I think is great! I love coming here to also clear my mind by looking at the view of the racecourse and also the view of London! I included a photo of the racecourse view for any interested! I think this a great station that had a member of staff at the ticket office despite it being a very quiet time of day!nnThis station deserves to be highly rated. It's brilliant and is perfect size for were it is located and it surroundings!nnIt's also step free to the platform not the train! I wasn't able to locate any toilets however so unsure if there is any there!
A quaint little end-of-the-line station adjacent to epsom race course. Also to my suprise part of the Oyster card network despite being so far from central london. I stayed at the hotel racecourse and walked over to take a train to Croydon for a meeting, and then on from Croydon into London. Frustratingly there are no tarmac pavements lining the local roads, so pedestrians must either walk on the road or take one of the many paths across the racecourse. Though very pleasant it makes a mess of your shoes which is far from ideal ahead of a meeting. Yes a taxi could be used but it seems wasteful for what is half a mile.
It's the closest station to Epsom Downs Racecourse but really that's all it has going for it. It's a very basic train station with a single shelter, ticket office that's open most of the time and a few benches.nnTrains towards Croydon and London leave every hour and there are local buses to Epsom that stop across the road. Live departures for said buses are available.
