This Chinese take away shop truly impressed us on a rainy day. Calling in our order, the lady was so helpful, ensuring we had the right amount of food for 3 people. We decided on 4 dishes and each one surpassed our expectations. The hot and sour soup had an authentic and rich flavor, while the beef prawn fried noodles were amazingly great. The salt and pepper squids and prawns were simply divine! We're already planning to return. Highly recommended for delicious Chinese cuisine.
I really loved the food from here! The noodles, albeit only noodles, are some of the best noodles I’ve eaten! The meat is also really very tasty! You get really large portions so it’s well worth your money! The delivery time is pretty quick as well! I definitely recommend takeaway from here if you’re in the mood for a chinese!
This was my all time favourite Chinese Takeaway but after tonight 10/09/22 I may well look else where. Usually have dry ribs as a starter, lifted 2 out and was horrified to find an eaten rib lying on the bottom of the tub. Can't find an email address, can't get through on the phone. Hence the review!
Ordered their takeaway several times. Flavor is good and the price is reasonable. Nice one.
Not sure what has happened, haven't been able to order online since August and phone just rings out
It's went way downhill. I have used this take away for many years but as the prices go up the portion size go's down and the food is not as good as it once was. Best to stick to the basics with this place. Rice and Chow Mein usually fine. Curry is hit or miss, Sweet n sour is what you would expect. The Happy Meal is decent value but the choice of starters on it is not great. They say there is no delivery charge if you order from Just Eat but that's not true. It's an O.K Chinese they deliver well mostly always on time but I'm now on the hunt for a new regular.
The flavours on the dishes were not as I was expecting. The Egg Fried rice had no flavour. The sweet and sour chicken was ok. I did think the portion sizes were good which is shame that the taste was not there. Prices were little on the steep
Was looking forward to this after seeing so many good reviews. Sadly disappointed. Over an hour delay in getting the food delivered, arrived hot which was a good start. Went downhill from there. Very greasy prawn toast. Sweet and sour sauce was cloying and overall the food was mediocre at best. I've had much better from other Chinese/asian restaurant/take aways local to me, so I think this will be a pass from me after this one off experience.
Very good. Order arrived early, had free prawn crackers and pancake rolls. Large potions will certainly order again from Taste of China.
We order from this restaurant nearly every week! Great flavour and generous portions. We love the duck fried rice and char sui chow mein. Very good value for money, thank you!
