Little gem of a coffee shop. Beautiful coffee and possible the best chocolate twist I have ever tasted. Lovely, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It is teeny tiny so you'll be lucky to nab a seat but I'm sure the coffee tastes just as good to take away...

The best coffee in St Andrews, hands down. The atmosphere is busy but relaxed, the staff lovely and the food good, the only thing that would improve it is for there to be more of it... Competition for shade means that it can be hard to get a seat, but at the same time its size is part of its charm, so you can't have everything.

Tight quarters, hot drinks: a coffee bar that is so small it reminds you of a ship's galley, this place serves up what looks like the most popular, and certainly the most original, coffee experience in St Andrews: far from the overly clean vibe provided by the chains on Market Street, here steamy windows, sparse but cosy seating and extremely friendly and agile staff serve the most perfect and smooth of coffee & tea specialties.

Known for its excellent coffee. Bear in mind Taste is very small so don't assume you will be sitting in! Popular among students and academic staff.

I visited for a coffee and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were polite and the drinks were inexpensive in my opinion. One thing to watch out for is they deal only in cash.
