Called Saturday last , asked for 6 scallops, 2 giant prawns, 6 medium prawns , 2 dressed crabs, a portion of mixed octopus and calamari bits in oil , and 2 manx kipper's , and a small net of cockles. I was charged £57. And something, I thought well I have bought a lot so didn't query !! When I got home 20 miles " opened the bag and only one dressed crab and no Manx kipper's, I paid cash £ notes and didn't get a receipt, my fault for trusting him? Will never use again no matter what or how good their products are , simple!!
Ordered a seafood platter which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent quality!
I bought the freshest fish I've ever had here. Some lovely sea bass fillets that tasted amazing. Got some more today plus a great looking tuna steak for tomorrow. Looking forward to it! There's also a large selection of other fish and seafood, all looking equally fresh. A popular shop with queues to be served.
Our first visit to Tarbett’s in Wetherby and we bought Shetland mussels and swordfish steaks. The quality and freshness were second to non. The mussels were plump and flavoursome, I pan fried the swordfish in a lemon, garlic and chive butter and it was delicious. Thank you, we will be back.
Wonderfully fresh fish. Wanted to try sashimi at home and they were able to provide ultra fresh salmon and Tuna. Very helpful advice too. Fantastic range of other fish - I'll pick up some oysters next time. Love the modern layout too.
The chap that works in the Wetherby shop isn't the friendlies type, locals joke about it but maybe that just how he is. Fish is OK, price is quite high but little competition in the area. Just wish the attitude would adjust to the rest of Wetherby butchers, veg shop, cheese shop.
Bought some HUGE tiger prawns and scallops yesterday and they were sublime to eat, cooked in garlic butter. Not cheap, no - but top-notch quality.
Many thanks to the two young gentlemen who served us with crabs on wednesday afternoon. We had two buses to catch to return home, & it was a very warm day. Our crabs were well wrapped up, placed in in carrier bag , accompanied by a further bag of crushed iced to keep them cool on their journey home. We didn't eat them until thursday evening , they were still very cool & most delicious!!!!!! You both deserve gold medals for your great idea & kindness to two old fogies. Thank you both again

I've been using Tarbetts for many many years but yesterday I bought a smoked haddock to take home and the lad said it was £11. I've just checked my mobile banking and he's taken £12. Why ? Its a pound. But I wont be using it anymore I don't like been stolen from.
