I've used Tanvic Tyres on a few occasions, and have always been satisfied with the service they provided, up until my last visit. I had a service and MOT done on my van, which on the MOT, it failed on a couple of things, which they sorted. The only thing they were concerned about, was the fact that the brake pad warning light was remaining lit. They told me that they had checked the sensors, and on one wheel, the connector was missing, so they connected the wires best they could. This made no difference, and the light still remained on. They advertised me to get it sorted before the next MOT, as with the new law coming into effect, it would fail. They also said that I could take it back and arrange for an Auto Electrician to check the system, at a cost of £60 per hour. Since my visit, I have checked the system myself, and this is what I found Front nearside : No connector (which they said) but also no sensor Front offside : broken wire on sensor Rear nearside : both wires broke on sensor Rear offside : OK Fluid level warning : 1 broken wire Since finding these, I have made repairs myself, and cured the problem. I had taken the van to them previously, when the light 1st came on, and asked them to check the sensors. They did say they had replaced 2, but the light still stayed on. Nothing was mentioned about having more broken wires, and a missing sensor. I'm now wondering if the service has been done at all. Very disappointing, and it looks like I'll be looking to go elsewhere from now on, or better still, "Do it myself"

Always been great for me until my last test, the tester actually came out slammed my rear discs on the counter and screamed, these have never been touched and then continued to rant on about how he knew what he was doing and I was a total liar! I had cleaned and adjusted the hand brake and this was obvious due to the car going from nil, on its first test, to around 25% but it binded slightly so all they needed to do was adjust it a little better than me and all would be fine. Instead they fitted new discs and pads for £250 that actually made it worse, so much so that I had to take it back as it wouldn't even hold on my almost flat drive, where I was screamed at again that it was working fine at 15% and that the travel to the bottom of the pedal was ok even though it totally didn't work was no problem as it had passed his test! I have been in the motor industry for over 10 years and to allow a fitter to talk to a customer in the way he did was utterly despicable, people with such poor communication skills should never be allowed access to the front counter. I for one will never be going back again!

***WARNING AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS*** RIP OFFS! Unfortunately had to use this poor excuse of a garage in Lincoln because the place I had booked my MOT unfortunately did not have their MOT man to do it so had to book it in here. They claimed I needed "£250" worth of repairs, including trying to charge loads for just adjusting the headlamps and £7 for just changing a bulb (ridiculous). Decided to have it retested elsewhere and it passed with flying colours with just an advisory. So that's £40 WASTED at this disgusting place. I've read all the reviews on their facebook page as well and many people are saying they are trying to overcharge by hundreds for parts and fixtures which cost a fraction of the price.

Terrible customer service, been using this place since it opened because an agreed discount scheme between my place of work and Tanvic, but went today and found the Guy on the desk rude and ignorant, agreed to have tyre fitted and then to be told that he won't honour the discount as he has already given me a discount on the agreed price (don't think so) will be using somewhere else in the future
