If you want a no frills place to eat then this is the place. Cannot fault the food, taste great and the servings are pretty big. Good value a for city centre restaurant. Decor a little dated but ok and the drink prices a little steep. All in all a nice little place where you won't go home hungry.

I work a stones throw away from Tall House and used them quite regularly for a period of about 6 months UNTIL I REALISED HOW BAD THEY ACTUALLY ARE. And believe me I'm not fussy with food!  The Staff are rude; the older woman actually blamed me for confusing them when I asked and paid for egg fried rice instead of boiled and was given boiled rice anyway.  Their mushroom soup rarely contains mushrooms.  They put more potato in their chicken curry than chicken I have never heard of a chinese takeaway to put potatoes in anything.  I once had a sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was clearly old and rancid.  I often have to wait for about 25 mins for my food even though I pre-order by phone.  EVERYONE IN MY OFFICE WHO HAVE EVER USED THEM MORE THAN ONCE AGREES THAT THEY ARE RUBBISH AND HAVE RESPECTIVELY STOPPED USING THEM. TAKE MY ADVISE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Everything was fine but it just did not taste exactly right to me. Small family run restaurant.  A bit pricy for what it is.  OK if you live beside it but nothing I would travel across town to eat at.

This was a really interesting place. I literally felt like I was transported back to mainland Asia. It's SO typically Asian. It's so obviously family run that it brings a smile to my face.Great people and good services are here.

Very poor food. I had a "Thai" curry which had no taste of being Thai at all; a bland brown curry. The service was poor and unfriendly. They got our order wrong without apology and it's not even cheap.

Very decent Cantonese flavor. As a Chinese, I don't think there is any difference from that you can eat in Guangzhou.

Good food.  Definitely recommend
