Story

Taiwan Village Restaurant is a an established restaurant based in Fulham, London. Our Head Chef, Mr Huang, came from Taiwan where he was trained in a wide variety of Chinese cuisines, but he specialises in the regional cuisines of Taiwan, Hunan and Szechuan. He has worked in a variety of restaurants in the centre of London since the mid-1980’s, and understands the level of quality and preferences that customers expect from a fine Chinese restaurant.

! The food was lovely! I recommend trying Ma Po tofu with steamed rice. I was satisfied with the amount of food. I started with wan ton soup, and I felt full after having my main dish. I couldn't finish it even though it was really good. I would have definitely taken away the leftover if I had a microwave in the hotel I stayed. Still I agree that the amount of food could be felt a bit small for someone. I also loved the table which was very comfortable and cozy. Most of all, the staff was very, very friendly and nice. I didn't have that much appetite but I had a really memorable supper over there with the lovely manner of him. Definitely a great place to have dinner! I highly recommend!
Ate here last night. Fantastic! We took two clients who also loved it. Based on a previous review we chose the "leave it to us" banquet for four. We made it really difficult for them by having one person who didn't eat fish, and one person who didn't eat meat. They were more than happy to accommodate this and brought out many servings of delicious food of each type, remembering each time who could eat what and who couldn't and positioning the dishes accordingly. Great ambiance and great value too. Highly recommended.
Used to be be great, was really looking forward to going back. Terrible disappointment. Portions were small and slow to come, and of course cold by the time they got to our table. Service was probably the worst highlighted by warm Coke being poured over a used lemon into my dirty glass. Won't be coming back ever again... Almost forgot: almost £70 for this "pleasure" and the best part of the Sunday trying to recover from it.
Great little place with a good atmosphere and very busy when I went even though it was a Tuesday night. The food was very authentic with some unusual choices - not like the usual westernised Chinese fare. The hostess was very helpful, especially when it came to the more unusual dishes. Great service and great food, well worth a visit.
Fantastic, we'll be regulars here for sure. Hot and spicy spare ribs are so so good, as well as the aubergine w minced chicken and general tsos chicken. YUM. great staff too.
I would have to say this is the best Taiwanese and Chinese restaurant in town, and I have tried several in London. I'm also from Taiwan so I know a good one when I see one. Also, their Chinese dish is way fresher and better than Michelin-starred Yauatcha near Soho. The decor also reminds me of Taiwan and the host was very polite, attentive and friendly. This restaurant has now replaced Yauatcha as my favorite Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant in London.
Great food! I would recommend going there with a group of 4 at least so you can try many things. My boyfriend absolutely loved the Asian style ribs
Food was superb. The only downside is the portion for its price. They are so small, expect to order 3-4 dishes per person. Literally!
Decent little restaurant on a dangerous road where people get shot sometimes. Romatic and dark, food is good. Let's hope this family business stays safe.
excellent service with reasonable price, I styrongly recommed it to anyone that likes food from Taiwan. The service was excelent and i really enjoy the music and the food. This is the only Taiwan restaurant in town and everybody should go at leats once to enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
